Located in the Opal Grand Resort, we came here for both dinner and brunch. Dinner: We had reservations for 7pm and they were able to sit us earlier which was great. Our server Desiree was great and had some fabulous starter recommendations. You have to get the skillet focaccia with the blueberry butter, dish was so good it’ll cause a fight. We also had the roasted garlic hummus with that which is always a delight. For the meal however my wife ordered her a rock shrimp pasta and I had a grouper. The rock shrimp pasta was great, especially if you have a big appetite. We weren’t too found of the grouper which was served with fennel, which neither the fennel or grouper had much taste, so luckily my wife’s plate was so big I helped her out. Brunch: Was fantastic and we ordered the brunch package. You start off with a selection of breads and then whatever starter you choose. I had some fruit with yogurt followed up by the main entree which was their short rib hash with some soft poached style eggs and toasted sourdough bread. Also as part of their brunch they have a selection of some meats apart from your main entree, they call the butcher block, which this Sunday was bourbon infused pichana or salmon and some au gratin potatoes and macaroni type pasta. Once your done with all that and you think you have no more room, they bring you some assorted sweets. Most importantly don’t forget they have a live performer there playing multiple brass instruments. He definitely sets off a nice and easy mood while you are there. We have been here several times, and outside of the grouper which is a seasonal special, all their dishes and service has always been 5 stars. I would highly recommend this place.

We came here on a Sunday for lunch with my husband, hoping to enjoy the rooftop bar with its ocean view. Unfortunately, it only opens at 4 PM — and this was not mentioned on Google Maps, which was a bit disappointing. Instead, we went to Drift Kitchen & Bar, and it turned out to be a very nice experience (there’s also a cute café inside the resort!). On Sundays, they offer a $45 lunch menu as well as a regular menu — though the regular one feels more like a breakfast/brunch selection. We chose the lunch menu, which also included a buffet with excellent quality meats (beef and lamb were especially good). Since we were in a hurry, we sat at the bar. Service was great, everything was delicious, and for the dishes we couldn’t finish, they kindly packed them to go. That was a lovely touch, especially when we discovered they had also included a generous dessert! Another highlight — there was live music, including a saxophone, which created a wonderful atmosphere and made the lunch feel extra special. 🎷✨ Parking is valet, $10/hour — and I loved that when they bring your car back, they also offer cold bottled water. Inside the Opal Grand Resort there’s also a charming boutique with beautiful dresses and accessories. All in all, a very pleasant spot right on the oceanfront — definitely recommend visiting! 🌊✨

Beautiful restaurant in the Opal Resort with an incredible ambiance! Unfortunately, the food didn’t match the vibe. We ordered the brussel sprouts, gemelli pasta and spicy shrimp tacos. We immediately sent the gemelli back, it had zero flavor (not even salt). The dish had so many great ingredients, I’m not sure how they mixed together and tasted like nothing. The brussel sprouts had a nice sweetness to them, but they were undercooked and too hard in the center. The spicy shrimp tacos were great and the fries were super crispy! As far as service goes, our server took over 10 minutes to come to our table when we first got seated. But, the manager came over and apologized for the gemelli we didn’t enjoy, which we appreciated. There was also some combativeness from the hostess while checking in, she seemed to have a disagreement with two separate people and that seemed odd. Overall, I think I would come back for a drink because I loved the atmosphere. I unfortunately can’t recommend the food at this point.

Nightmare of a night! Very sad because Drift has Excellent Food unfortunately for us that evening. Service was beyond Horrible!!! Management has some serious problems with their front of the house staff. Our server Zack.?? ( Young men w/ a tattoo sleeve) . Not sure if he was having a bad Day. But Whatever he was going through Def. took it against my husband and I . From the moment we sat down .our server made us feel like we were a bother to HIM!! Made us feel unwanted , did not have a 0 care for his Job! His verbiage, he’s body language, he’s demeanor. Everything about him that night was off! 1st we asked for waters and napkins, He’s reply was I’ll give it to you when you give me your order. Ahhh , we don’t have Menus?!!! Fine, he brings everything, except roll ups. I asked if I could try 1 wine that was sold by the Glass . He Told Me NO!!! Buy the bottle I DO NOT Do That! Ok. We proceed to buy the bottle. Ordered our Apps, followed by the bone in rib eye to share. Times passes, Apps Arrives, Table still had no set up. No roll ups , Nor sharing plates. In which we asked. On multiple occasions we asked Zack but he refused to acknowledge our request and our Table. by then, we were very annoyed. We finished our App, not even 1 minute after we were done with our App our steak comes out. Cold! Once again, no sharing plates nor steak Knives. .once again, we had asked our server please sharing plates and a set of new cutlery with a Steak knife? He’s reply: I can’t break a roll up !A manager that was passing by heard our request and with no hesitation dropped off what we needed. At this point we are furious. With all of the No’s, and I can’t. & Our steak dropped to the table cold. Night is just not getting any better. Fine, we just wanted to eat , finish the night right without anymore issues. Sure!! In the middle of our dinner our server drop the check tells us to close out , wine is on the house for this inconvenience , he has an emergency. ??!! Someone else will clean up . Our jaws Dropped! Our bottle was not even half way done, we are nearly done with dinner we wanted dessert and here we are getting professionally kicked out by our waiter. 😂 My husband asked can we at least order Dessert? We are not here for free food nor wine. We had money to pay for our meals!! He’s replied was No! However, he takes the check and puts the wine back on the Bill. 😂 please now ! Close out . 😱 omg Never in our years of Dining have we both experienced such horrible, hostile service. As Delray locals for over 25 yrs. This is by far the worst service in town! We had bad service but this episode surpasses them all. Fine, we paid. With 20% Gratuity . To make a point! On our way out , we Asked for the manager at the front desk told him about our experience . He didn’t looked amazed nor concerned. Like if this was the Norm for his restaurant. No information taken, 0 emotions. I literally, left the place crying. I told the manager what a F up night it was and no-one should ever go through what we experienced. Ruining someone dinner/ night because the staff nor supervisor/ manager are Not properly Trained!! Opal Grand makes enough money from the tourism and the . Spend the money and time to Train your staff better!! Your Guests are there to enjoy themselves, the food, ambience and great service. Not to get treated badly, give me your money and get out ! Next !! Not everyone who goes out to Dine is mean , cheap and Disrespectful towards the staff! All we wanted was to enjoy our night . Unfortunately, that was not the case for us ;( What a night! I will need a long Break to forget that night before I can go back if I/ we go back !! Ps. Don’t bother calling the hotel to ask for the GM . They don’t...

Sean (Manager on duty): Wow, we are so disappointed to have been so surprisingly disappointed.

We are locals, and made reservations for my wife's birthday on Saturday, May 21, 2022. That's about where the "glee" began and ended with "Drift".

When we walked it, I politely introduced myself to the older blonde hostess; she failed entirely to even make eye contact or welcome us, referring us to another associate. As we were waiting, I asked, "How are you?" She looked taken aback and said tersely, "fine". My wife commented, "Wow, she wasn't prepared for you to talk to her...". Well, I thought, perhaps she is overwhelmed. That said, hardly impressive initial reception. Resonated all things NYC, candidly. Strike 1.

We were then taken to an outdoor table - very nice aesthetic, to be fair. And then we immediately noticed food pieces, crayons, and torn cardboard and paper underneath our entire table. I assume there were children seated at that table before us and it had not been cleaned. Alright, not so impressive, but I politely summoned a wait staff member at 8:01 PM. By 8:10 PM, three staff members had viewed the mess, commented, and said it would be taken care of. By 8:12 pm, my wife went inside to ask another staff member to please clean our table. No staff apology, mind you, as we waited oddly standing in the patio by other's tables for our own table and messy floor to be cleaned. Strike 2.

We were then [very briefly] met by "Yohan" and his trainee, "Rhonda". Never ever saw Yohan again after that. Ghost. When asked if there were any specials, Rhonda said, "No", but there are "lots of options". Alright, a bit odd response, but we ordered drinks and my teenage son a beverage.

At 8:32 PM, sans any drinks or place setting for my son (table had only been set for two, but no one noticed we had three people, per our reservation), enough was enough, and we departed. Strike 3.

I did ask to speak with Sean, the Manager on duty, and did so. I shared that I was dismayed at how easily they got everything wrong. Frankly, neither my wife nor I felt that he cared. His reply was, "I wish I had known sooner". Fantastic reply, Sean.

I rarely write reviews, saving them for truly remarkable, extraordinary service and quality excellence - especially for hard working, committed team members. In this case, our entire experience was so sub-marginal that we were compelled to share. It is our hope they use this for process and experience improvement. You will need your Delray locals in the summer, Sean.

Pros: Menu design and restaurant aesthetic (including rope lattice in foyer) - first rate. Location: optimal. Valet - fantastic.

Cons: Drift Staff - rude, rushed, highly inattentive. Cleanliness - sub-standard; please see above.

Very best...

I am a regular customer here and met with some friends here. My friend ordered a 3rd glass of champagne which is a normal amount for someone who is not driving which is when the waitress told her she is pacing her now when it had been over 30 mins since we got there. When the waitress (jenny) came back with waters she got extremely rude with us and when we told her to leave she just continued to be blatantly rude saying to my friend “ first you have attitude and second you need to pace yourself ”. I have worked in a high class restaurant on the ave and no matter how rude a customer was too me i never would react the way she did. It was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I went inside to pay the check when she was at the bar yelling and laughing talking poorly about my friend with coworkers who were also laughing loud enough for everyone to hear all because my friend was questioning why she was being paced and asked how long the wait would be. When i stopped her and said “First of all you were blatantly rude. The first time you said it you were almost nervous and didnt know what to say and it came out kind of rude. The second time you were extremely rude.” her (jenny) and her coworkers started laughing at what i said and started being rude to me. I asked for the check so that i can just leave and they just continued. THIS IS BEYOND UNEXCEPTABLE FROM ALL OF THE EMPLOYEES. Not one worker at the bar stopped what was happening or tried to deescalate the situation. My friend may not have had the best tone of voice with her because she was upset that she was being paced for only her 3rd small glass of champagne but the way the waitress addressed it was completely unprofessional. Will not be returning...
