So not knowing what to try, I asked! 1/4 Chicken or Chicken Fingers? She informed me she was a chicken finger girl. So Chicken Fingers it was.
So one name given, I commenced waiting. With a total of 27 dollars plus for chicken fingers with two small sides (included) and an extra small side order of creamed spinach. I was a little taken aback.
The decor is ok, but not inspiring, intriguing or necessarily creative. Some places the food talks for itself. After about 10 mins or so. I got my takeout order.
I got home (5 mins away) and was a little worried about the packing. When you close up steaming hot food that is fried. It usually results in a moist, soggy meal. I was pleasantly surprised that the chicken was dry and crisp.
The Chicken! Well it was a coarse panko type breading. Not particularly flavorful or interesting. It could rank right up there with a frozen diner chicken finger from a dozen cheaper joints. It just isn't a favorite of mine. It seems like a cheap short cut. I kind of expected more from Michael Salmon (NY chef and Food Network contributor). It would never stand up to a hand breaded chicken finger from the Crown & Anchor in Las Vegas. The BBQ sauce dip was watery and just a step up from ketchup. Grainger's down the road has house made BBQ dip that is leagues better.
The Charred Broccoli was just super tasty. I mean as far as broccoli goes this is outstanding. Although it was super tasty it was cold. Like really cold. Which was kinda weird considering it was in the box with the hot chicken. Is it supposed to be served cold? I wouldn't think so.
The creamed spinach, well it's creamed spinach. Was it great creamed spinach, no. Was it bad creamed spinach, no. It fell firmly in the land of mediocrity.
So if you want a pricey incredibly average meal, atmosphere and experience...

From the moment we walked into Flybird, this restaurant delivered one of the most memorable dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. The service was exceptional — our server Ashley was warm, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Ryan, the manager, also came by to check on us, which showed just how much care and pride they put into every guest’s experience. Their hospitality was truly above and beyond.
Now let’s talk about the food — absolutely divine. We ordered the coal-fired chicken, and it was grilled to perfection: juicy, flavorful, and beautifully charred. Every detail on the plate was thoughtfully crafted — from the roasted garlic and grilled lemon to the freshly sliced bread that paired perfectly with the sauces.
The sides were just as incredible. The mashed potatoes were creamy, buttery, and comforting — exactly how they should be. The creamed spinach was rich, cheesy, and absolutely addictive. And let’s not forget the house sauces — a vibrant green chimichurri and a velvety brown gravy — they took everything to the next level.
It’s rare to find a place where both the hospitality and food are outstanding, but Flybird delivers on every level. Whether you’re looking for a casual meal or a spot to impress someone, this place is a must-visit. Huge thanks to Ashley and Ryan for making this such a wonderful experience. We’ll definitely be back — and...
Read moreWithout question the best crispy chicken sandwich I have had in South Florida (Lulu's & The Wine bar kitchen coming in 2nd & 3rd respectively). The sandwich is masterfully crafted, with razor thin pickles, great cole slaw & an addictive spicy mayo combo that pulls everything together. The piece of chicken itself is a hearty portion, so no skimping here as it should be for the premium price of around $20 w tax. I'm personally am not a fan of their well done house made potato chips & my only sandwhich criticism would be to source a better bun. It's not that it's bad, but when your contents are 5 star, your carrier should b too. Their mashed potatoes & gravy are absolutely killer. Don't leave without trying their cilantro sauce too, its perfect. No matter what you order here, it will be an elevated experience, including their chicken pot pie(frozen to go). As you can see from the pics being far from appetizing, the sandwich didn't travel well in my car and is probably placed upside down so that the toothpicks holding the sandwich together, doesn't poke through Styrofoam container. I should have taken pics from my sit down visit last week. Nice indoor (& outdoor) space to sit and they serve beer & wine too. Can't wait to return to try their...
