Tony’s Market and deli is one of those places you might drive by without realizing the magic happening inside. But once you step in, you’ll understand why it’s a local favorite. Restaurateur Nelson C and his talented chef Jose work culinary wonders, serving up everything from hearty breakfast burritos to fluffy challah French toast topped with blueberries and perfectly cooked eggs. Their pancakes? Absolutely unforgettable. For lunch try the falafel, the brisket sandwich which Nelson brines himself with his very own secret recipe. Unsure what to eat? trust me, they will dazzle and surprise you with something special. The food isn’t just superb—it’s soul-satisfying, the kind of meals that linger in your memory long after the last bite. You will clearly be full and satiated when you leave wanting more. For the full experience, grab a seat at the bar, where you can chat with locals and even catch a moment with Nelson himself. He is fondly known as the sunshine boy because he always smiles. In the background he plays amazing tunes. Tony’s Market and deli isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a community. If it’s not already on your must-visit list, it should be. This hidden gem is a culinary treasure you’ll keep coming back to.

What a great find, a couple of blocks north of Swinton, on W Atlantic, across from the police station. An old school counter service high quality food emporium, reminiscent of a Woolworth 5 and dime, with an impeccably clean modern twist. Nelson, the chef owner, is extremely likable and he will do well, as he fits a niche that is rare for downtown Delray….quality food at down to earth prices. It was tough to choose between the many great sounding luncheon items, it boiled down to either the Jerk chicken special or the Cuban, I went with the Cuban and it was excellent. Perfectly seasoned and brined pork, combined with ham, cheese, pickles and mustard, done panini style. They will begin dinner service April 1st and my guess is it will be a highly sought after seating spot at that cool counter. All the best Nelson

Tony's Market and Deli is a must visit in Delray! In fact I traveled from Pompano to grab a lunch there!! Not only are the staff friendly and interactive and the juice is freshly squeezed in front of you, but the food is just next level! The menu is the perfect size in terms of variety but they have a daily specials board as well and we gave the Nashville Chicken Sandwich a try and absolutely zero regrets, all the flavors! The store is clean, orderly and very well laid out, and you can get a quick shop done to grab some groceries on your way out the door. Will definitely be back!!! Thanks Nelson, Chef Johnny and team ❤️

If you're from say New York or New Jersey and you miss that walk-up, one stop shop convenience store + deli vibe....this is your spot. The owner will chit chat the whole time and he's a character for sure. You may love that or you may want to be left alone. I didn't mind and mostly listened to him interact with some of the other customers who seemed to be enjoying the banter. He previously owned a restaurant but wanted to switch to something that lets him be around his family more.

It's located inside a convenience store, right off Atlantic Ave, so you can grab a drink or a scratch off at the same time. He's got somewhere around 10 stools at the counter so you can sit and eat there or take it to-go. The sign says deli but don't expect to have a selection of cold deli sandwiches (which is what I was expecting). Instead the menu had an assortment of creations that mostly included hot dishes such as fish & chips, Cuban sandwich (which is what I ordered), brisket reuben, burgers, falafel (random but he makes it himself), salads, paninis, wings...and whatever new special he has...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tony’s Deli, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The food was simply outstanding. I tried their signature Ruben sandwich, and it was packed with flavor—fresh ingredients, perfectly seasoned, and generous portions. Each bite was a delight! The menu offers a great variety of options, catering to all tastes, from classic deli sandwiches to delicious salads and sides. The service at Tony’s Deli truly stood out. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, making excellent recommendations. They ensured that my experience was nothing short of exceptional. Overall, I highly recommend Tony’s Deli to anyone looking for great food and service. It’s a gem that I can’t wait to...
