I recently dined at Jalapeño Tree, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. The poor service and the presence of raw meat on my fajita nachos were major letdowns.
Firstly, the service was far from satisfactory. The staff seemed disinterested In having me and my family dining in at the restaurant it felt like an inconvenience to them.
Moreover, the quality of the food was compromised. As I eagerly dug into my fajita nachos, I discovered to my dismay that all of the meat was raw. This not only posed a serious health risk but also indicated a lack of attention to food safety standards. And that’s says something for a restaurant who prides themselves of being in service for 27 years! It was disheartening to encounter such a fundamental flaw in the preparation of a dish.
Despite these disappointing aspects, I must acknowledge that the ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant, and the overall presentation of the food was appealing. However, these positives were overshadowed by the glaring issues with service and the unacceptable presence of raw meat.
I sincerely hope that Jalapeño Tree takes customer feedback seriously and takes immediate steps to rectify these problems as other reviewers have had the same experience.
Unfortunately, based on my recent encounter, I cannot recommend this establishment, especially considering the issues with service and food safety.
UPDATE: After leaving my initial review, I got the same exact copy and paste response that the owner of jalapeño tree leaves for every negative review. Clearly showing zero care for customer’s concerns!
UPDATE 2: 1/7/25
My wife and I recently revisited Jalapeño Tree, and the experience was utterly disappointing from start to finish. First off, our server was noticeably inattentive. After waiting over an hour for our food, we finally received our order, but it was cold and unappetizing. To make matters worse, the beer that was served came out lukewarm—definitely not what you expect at a restaurant that prides itself on crazy good mexican food.
When we mentioned the issues to the waiter, their response was shockingly rude. Instead of apologizing or offering a solution, they seemed annoyed by our complaints. When the bill arrived, I noticed they had already pre written the tip amount on the receipt, which felt like an attempt to pressure us into tipping for poor service.
It’s one thing to have a bad meal, but when you’re met with rude service and an utter lack of accountability, it completely ruins the experience. I won’t be returning, and I’d recommend others look elsewhere if they value both good food and decent...
Read moreThis place use to be great and the food still is however the service is so bad it’s unbearable. I’ve tried calling this place several times over the last several weeks and they won’t answer the phone to take to go orders. They did answer one time because I had called probably 10 times in a row so they answered and just put the phone down I could hear people talking and everything they just got tired of hearing the phone ring so I put in a door dash order and it was never confirmed so I drove to the store 15 min drive and then had to wait about 30 mins for food because they let the tablet go dead that orders come in on this is unacceptable when for years I have been calling to place Togo orders they’re the epitome of lazy at this location I guess they changed management for the worse instead of better. Anyway couple days ago I tried to call in an order after getting off work surprise surprise they didn’t answer the phone. So I went to the store yet again asked the bartender why they don’t answer the phone anymore his response was sorry we’ve been busy and that’s a piss poor excuse so I ordered 2 dinner entrees the order came out in a timely manner however the order was incorrect I asked for them to fix it they happily obliged my request while waiting for my order to be corrected I saw a manager in a blue button up shirt and asked if I could have a word with him upon our conversation I asked why they don’t answer the phone anymore and told him being busy is a piss poor excuse to not answer the phone he didn’t provide an explanation but he pointed at the door and said “there’s the door have a good night” and walked off that is the worst customer service I’ve had anywhere. I will not be returning to any Jalapeño Tree branch ever again and I’m going to make it my personal life mission for that place to close down for good. I submitted a complaint to the company website several days ago with no response. You should promote said manager to dish washer. He’s better suited for non-customer...
Read moreI recently had the misfortune of dining at Jalapeño Tree, and I must say that it was an incredibly underwhelming experience. As a lover of Mexican cuisine, I had high hopes for this restaurant, but unfortunately, it fell far short of my expectations.
Firstly, let's talk about the ambiance. The restaurant's interior was dull and uninspiring, lacking any authentic Mexican charm. The décor was outdated, and the overall atmosphere felt drab and uninviting. It definitely did not set the stage for an enjoyable dining experience.
Moving on to the service, it was nothing short of abysmal. The waitstaff seemed disinterested and unenthusiastic about their job. Our server was inattentive, rarely checking on us and taking forever to bring out our drinks and appetizers. We had to constantly flag down different servers just to get their attention. It was evident that customer satisfaction was not a priority for them.
Now let's dive into the most critical aspect: the food. Sadly, the dishes served at Jalapeño Tree were a far cry from authentic Mexican cuisine. The flavors were dull and lacked any real depth. The salsa tasted like it came straight out of a jar of tomato sauce, lacking freshness and vibrancy. The guacamole was strangely flavorless and lacked the creamy texture that makes it so enjoyable. It felt like the kitchen was cutting corners and relying on mediocre store-bought ingredients.
The main courses were equally disappointing. The enchiladas were dry and overcooked, with barely any filling inside. The seasoning was lackluster, and overall, the flavors were muted. It was evident that the kitchen lacked the passion and expertise needed to deliver an exceptional Mexican dining experience.
To make matters worse, the prices at Jalapeño Tree were quite high for the quality of food and service provided. It felt like we were paying a premium for a subpar experience, which left a bitter taste in our mouths both figuratively...
