IHOP — Restaurant in Denton

October2025: 5⭐✨: I would recommend this restaurant location and the workers here today. I made a special trip out to this location as a result of seeing it being built adjacent to a large gas station truck stop. This location has ample parking for the restaurant and also features several handicap parking positions here as well. Because it is adjacent to the truck stop area, it has parking for larger vehicles and trailers. Upon entering this restaurant, my family and I was greeted at the doorway and seated promptly. The server, Amber, came over and took our drink orders and soon came back with what we had placed earlier. We ordered our food which arrived hot and as ordered. Our drinks were kept full and the dishes on the table were cleared efficiently as possible. One item of note, was my bacon temptation omelette. Each time I have ordered this item from the Flower Mound IHOP, it has been a fraction of the size that I received on my plate today. The one that I received today is the one I rememberd receiving when I first ordered this meal. Each of our meals came to the table prepared well. It's a shame that we have to find a restaurant that has just opened in order to get the food that we should get from any of the restaurants named IHOP. It was also great that we had a server who was capable and efficient at her job. The restrooms were clean. The restaurant was clean. Small areas I checked were clean.

I really hope this location does well and the personnel know that my family and I appreciate driving passed two other IHOP locations to get to this one because of the service, cleanliness and the food preparation for guests.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5-Star Experience at the New IHOP in Denton (by Buc-ee’s)

My family and I visited the brand-new IHOP in front of Buc-ee’s in Denton, and we were pleasantly surprised from start to finish. It was very crowded when we arrived, so we expected a long wait. They told us 20 minutes, but we were seated in just 15.

The restaurant was extremely clean, which makes sense since it’s new, but it was still impressive. The bathrooms especially stood out to me—not only were they spotless, but as a plus-size woman, I really appreciated how spacious they were. It was so nice to be comfortable in a restroom for once, unlike many places.

The food was absolutely delicious, and our waitress, Amber, was phenomenal. She was patient, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. She answered all our questions, checked on us often, and was quick with anything we needed. I actually wanted to ask for a manager to compliment her, but before I even got the chance, a manager stopped by our table to check on us. That really showed how attentive their staff is.

Service is horrible. I’ve gone 2 times now and the servers that i’ve had have been slow and clueless. The first time we went we waited 30 minutes to get acknowledged until a manager came and talked to us to take our drink order. We then waited another 10 more minutes to get our drinks and that’s when our server finally came to us. We ordered our food and that came out fast, but our server never came back to check how the food was or to see how we were doing. We then had to ask other servers and managers for our check and that took another 20 minutes. We tried giving them another chance last night but it was still the same outcome. Our server came to our table right away but seemed high the whole time. He rang in the wrong pancake order and when we asked for the checks he kept messing them up. We were not being complicated, yet he could not comprehend what we were saying. I work in a restaurant industry and this is not what service should be like.
