Salata — Restaurant in Denton

First off, I am a HUGE fan of Salata but this particular location - Never again! I was greeted by Cooper for lettuce options and then Reema came out of no where and her attitude was HORRIBLE. When I asked for toppings she did not utilize the whole scoop and on top of that, she seemed very hostile for no reason at all! I had to constantly asked her for more toppings/vegetables AND when we got to the meat section, I asked for the seafood mixture and she had the nerve to give me half of a scoop! I politely asked her to fill the entire scoop and she then looked very Irritated and gave a tiny spoon fill. Not sure who pissed in her Cheerios today??! What really made this experience worse, my step-daughter was with me and asked for a scoop of pasta and this girl Reema literally only gave her 2 pieces of the bow tie pasta!!!! I had to ask her to add more pasta!!! A horrible, horrible experience!!! And to top it all off, I was charged several times! Cooper and the person that rung me up Lydia R. were really nonchalant and stated that the charges will fall off because he Cooper has the same bank. We ended up eating there, however the entire crew members that I listed was very loud and laughing and kept staring occasionally in my direction - my step-daughter felt VERY uncomfortable. I need to speak with someone in your corporate organization as soon as possible. I had to ask Cooper for his name several times and he even had the audacity to tell me that he was unable to provide Reema’s name AND she had a badge on. It took everything in me not to entertain their foolish behavior and when we left, they did not say thank you or anything. Had visited this establishment once they opened a few times and they had always honored the 'teacher discount' but have always had to ask for more on toppings. The amount of toppings they give you is very minimal. A LOT of greens and a small scoop of toppings. The last visit, about two weeks ago, was less than desirable. I ordered two salads, a regular and a small. The young guy put the same amount of protein on both salads. I asked for a little more meat on the larger salad, and he put ONE more cube of meat on. I decided not to even fight this battle but instead laughed it off. However, the TEACHER DISCOUNT was honored on this visit and all previous visits. I decided, after a long day of work, to stop by yesterday afternoon. Again, very minimal toppings having to ask for a bit more on just a couple. I arrive at the register and the man (I'm guessing the manager) tells me they don't honor 'teacher discounts', only military. LOL... I asked when and why. He said "THEY' said they would only honor military and told me to get the app so that I could accumulate points for purchases. I pay, I leave and I call the other establishment in Flower Mound that I frequent. THEY DO HONOR THE TEACHER DISCOUNT. Even though it's just ONE DOLLAR, it's nice to be honored even just a little bit. I'm assuming this is NOT a company policy but perhaps store policy. Needless to say, I WILL NOT BE BACK to this restaurant. I will continue grabbing salads elsewhere if I'm not near Flower Mound. The restaurant is welcoming, the serving stations are clean, and the food is fresh and delicious… (I definitely hope it stays this way). The freshness and quality of the food and the ability to customize your salad makes the price reasonable at $9 bowl for a small and $10 bowl for regular which DOES NOT include protein. Depending on what type of protein you add you will likely pay $13-$16 per salad with protein (taxes included).

I would have given a 5⭐️…..but I experienced a minor issue both times I visited. First time I visited I ordered a small, when I reviewed the receipt I saw that I was charged for a large, but I had already left the store so I didn’t address the issue. The second time I actually ordered a large but I was given the portion size of a small. A customer in line next to me ordered a small and her serving portion was larger than mine. I did receive great customer service from Claudio who fixed the issue.

They have a reward program that gives you 85 points for signing up so if you download the app and scan your receipt you’ll like have a $7 reward on your next visit, sadly the employees don’t inform you of the rewards program.
