Smoothie King — Restaurant in Denton

I was just in the Denton Brinker road location, and the whole reason they are getting two stars is because the smoothie is good. I always bring in my,own cup if i drink out because I know that plastic inevitably ends up in a landfill and I feel like I should be doing my part to eliminate some of this waste. I asked the woman who took my order if it would be an issue and she said no, the person making my drink said it was fine, and I was excited to get my smoothie when another worker, rudely, informed one of the employees that that was against some company policy and I would all of,the sudden not be allowed to use my own cup. I had already paid for a smaller version at a higher price so it would fit in my reusable cup and the rude-employee informed me i could "just pour it into my cup from theirs" which completely eliminates the point. If i was told I wouldnt be allowed to use my cup from the beginning maybe this review would be different. If Smoothie King actually wants me to "Care about the environment" maybe they should make their policies known from the beginning instead of...

I usually like coming here after visiting the gym, but now I limit my trips as often as I can. The new “manager” I assume, a somewhat stout guy with glasses and curly light brown hair NEVER does anything and lets his only other associate in the mornings handle all customers by themselves. He’s acting like he can’t help make the drinks because his foot is in a boot, but walking around without any pain it seems. At the time of writing this, it took about 30 minutes to get my drink, not because the store was packed, but because he refused to assist what I can only assume is a new associate who doesn’t yet have the knowledge or speed that comes with experience. Additionally anytime I come in his attitude towards myself and other customers from what I’ve noticed is one of annoyance and disdain. Horrible experience. I go to Smoothie King near my house all the time and the service is great, but I was in Denton in the area of this location and stopped by to get my usual smoothie. I knew right away from looking at it that it was the wrong smoothie. (Oh, they didn't even call my name to let me know it was ready but just set it down.) I get the Coffee High Protein Almond Mocha ALL the time and I knew this was not right - it was very dark brown. I told the young woman, "This isn't right." She gave me a smart aleck response that coffee is brown - and I said, "I get this all the time - this is NOT right." I didn't get an apology or anything. The other staff member just said "Fine," and redid it. This time they did it right - and again didn't even tell me when it was ready. I have NEVER seen such rude staff at a Smoothie King. Avoid this place at all...
