Whoever was working drive through around 12:10pm on 8/9/25 actually had me wondering why I even chose to eat here for lunch. Dude on the mic was super mumbly, couldnt hear him at all. Cut me off mid order and just told me to pull up. Told them our order, was waiting over 15 minutes for our order. For context, we got one order of 12ct flautas, one order of cheese enchiladas (2ct), and a separate order of 3ct flautas, and two large dr peppers. When we got to the window we repeated out order since they did cut us off. After waiting 10 mins we got our 12ct of flautas , however was given a large sweet tea. we returned it back and was given a regular size dr pepper. back to waiting another 5 mins, some other person came to the window asking what we had. we repeated what we were waiting on, but she left half way through us talking. They handed us a bag of our enchiladas and said “have a nice day” but we were still missing our 3ct of flautas. ended up having to park and walk inside, which lead us to waiting another 8ish minutes. Kept getting asked if we were sure the flautas werent in the bag or in the box like no mamn if they were then I wouldnt be here… asking for them… wouldve loved to show my receipt except oh.. I was never given one :/ The guy that was taking our order was folding boxes in the lobby and talking to someone that wasnt an employee. i hope yall was talking about how to be a better employee cause im not sure what else is more important in that moment. meanwhile the kitchen looked like a mess. at this point yall just need to clean house, especially with lunch being a prime money making time for a restaurant… Unfortunately I did really like this place but this definitely changed my mind on ever...
Read moreYeah, this place is great..... I've given my food from here to homeless people, and they looked disappointed...."Is this it!?" Seriously, I've seen some rather simple hygienic practices being ignored (at more than one location), gotten old, slimy-looking food, and know of some cases of people getting sick eating here , very possibly including ,myself (no way!?).
They also hold the record for the longest wait, ever...this includes all "sit-down" places. It's almost adorable that it should take hours to produce two small tacos,, which were void of everything but a tiny speck of meat and a thimble of cheese. We would have liked extra sauce, but I think "extra" is defined as "absolutely none " in their dictionary. That was, yeah,that was a memorable dining experience...But go ahead and keep your extra sauce, it's not worth the bother.
We just really wanted to see how long it could take, so we hung out and entertained ourselves while the busy bees prepared the Colossus of Rhodes for us . When it came out, and we got a gander at the masterpiece(s), we laughed until we wept.
I tried something different a few times, never once receiving something resembling decent food, maybe excellent poop. Next to Jack in the Box tacos, this is some of the worst crap we've ever eaten.
Finally, one fine, bubbly day, I could smell the bathroom on one employee's hands (you know what I mean) . This all kinda adds up to making double sure I never end up here again -even if I'm treated. And keep in mind, I was treated or taken here (had a "get this free" coupon ), except for the very first visit, every time. Each time, I was firmly in the realm of being disgusted or severely let down.

Read more11/1/25 Sat in drive through for 12 minutes then about 5 vehicles and I backed out and left. The van in front of me took the turnout and left. Again, sorry service. Manager, you are losing business due to the poor service. Tried to call to complain, they know how pathetic they are, because they have installed a voice ignore system where nobody answers. The company used to be excellent, but Tavo Cabana senior management no longer cares. No wonder their are fewer and fewer of them left.
8/4/25 Manager must have shared my last review with employees. Counter employee apologized. Service was much better. Bacon was cooked.
Thank you. 8/2/25 Drive through. I was served raw bacon after asking for the bacon to be well done. The caliber of employees has not gotten any better since my last review. Sad, but this has become all to common in food establishments. Drove back to the place to show them. Lady at counter said she would remake them, after she took the next few orders. Asked for the manager. She came out, saw the raw bacon, and then saw the bacon staged on the counter for other orders. She made the "kid" regrill the raw (partially cooked) bacon.
There are so few decent fast food choices in Denton, TX.
As I was writing this review, an employee was leaving. Their vehicle was parked in the space closest to the door. Excellent customer service.
