I come to this location often as it is one of the few fast casual restaurants that has healthy options and it is good. However, I had a particularly awful experience and feel compelled to write a review. I've also emailed this information to Cava directly. In this particular instance I waited 45 extra minutes for my order while someone who I assume was the manager (an older person who was wrapping up an interview when I arrived) was there and seemed to do nothing to address the order issues, bad customer service, or messy restaurant
I don't blame the servers. This is clearly a management issue. The frontline employees are clearly mostly high school students, so you can't expect them to run the place the way that it needs to be run.
These are issues that I consistently see: -Undercooked food (lentils, potatoes) -Lack of training - no order or direction, inefficient way of managing orders -Lack of good customer service knowledge. - almost every time I walk in I have to wait 5-10 minutes before getting greeted by someone and even when a full staff is standing there -Tables are almost always dirty and gross and no one comes around to wipe them off. -Messy order area, when food is being served it is thrown all over the place which isn't good for those with allergies/dietary concerns.
I don't usually give so much feedback. As I said, I come to this location and will keep coming back because it is one of the few fast casual restaurants that has healthy options and the food is good. I just want my experience to be better. These issues would be remedied with better training and management. Please address these issues. All of the other locations that I've been to have been great except for this one. Again, the issue is management/training...
Read moreHi,
I think more than anything I am just very confused by this Cava experience. First, I was given an incorrect order which I know happens so I just drove back and got the correct order, or I thought so. Mind you, no one apologized for giving me the wrong order when I went back but I understand it being 7:30 PM on Sunday night so that felt standard.
The issue, is that my actual order had cold chicken, cold falafel, no tzatziki I ordered, no eggplant dip, no tomatoes, my complementary side pita was not there, I ordered two different dressings on the side and neither of them were there, and I was a little shocked because one would think if one were to give someone the wrong order the first time around and had a second opportunity to make it right why wouldn’t one check that it was made correctly?
Things became even more confusing when I realized that there were actual gloves…… like gloves that are used to sanitize things in my cava bag. Why? Why were there clearly used gloves in my Cava bag?
So naturally, I just threw the entire thing away. It’s like they were mad at me for ordering this late in the evening. If that is the case, you should just close earlier.
I have never experienced this at Cava and the fact that this happened in such a nice area of Denver is sad.
And to the Cava employees working on the evening of 8/27- You don’t get to use the excuse that you’re high anymore, you can be high and not be so useless at your job.
I would like to request a...
Read moreWhile I was patiently waiting on a delivery order, (because Im kind enough to do them the service of waiting longer than I should have to then driving miles to deliver to their customers), I asked how much a mexican cola was from the fountain station; the kid @ the counter says the fountain isn't working (aka they dont want ppl to use it) I settle for a bottle, bring it up to the cashier just for him to tell me he wont accept my cash. I straight up put the bottle back. I won't patron a business that refuses physical currency. I make cash tips, I intend to use them. You all wear gloves and everything, and in an economy where businesses are fighting to stay afloat, its a shame you can be so selective in how your customers support you. But on the topic of selective preference (bc lets be real, thats what it is when you refuse to accept currency) I guess Ill just have to be more selective in not accepting this business's deliveries anymore. *In response to owner; I understand some precautions are necessary to address concern, but unfortunately cash being suggested as one of them hurts your consumers and ultimately, your business. Spread via cash is a suggestion, not substantiated by evidence. It is really just a shame to see this 'tactic' especially when there's a vast number of businesses around that accept all forms of payment that I'll have to explore now. It'd be nice to see more realistic business practices being implemented than...
