Dougherty's Restaurant & Pub — Restaurant in Denver

On Friday night, 2/5/16, myself and a large group of friends cane to your bar. We did a round of shots and ordered beers. At this point, a large man who didn't identify himself informed me I was taking too long at the bar. I offered him room to approach the bar when he insisted I had to leave. After a bit of back and forth, a second guy in glasses came up and also insisted I must leave the bar. At this point, the second guy identified the first as the head bouncer at the bar. I was escorted out. No one else in my group (also at the bar) were told to leave although several voluntarily left with me. I would like to thank you guys for the most humiliating event of my life and will never come back to this bar that I have patroned many times...

Some establishments offer military discounts. If they don't, they simply say no. I was not told yes or no. Instead, I was asked if I was in the Special Forces. Did not know there was a criteria I had to meet in my time of service for other people, thought volunteering was enough. A simple no would have sufficed. Got it, won't be returning here. An Irish pub on South Broadway, pretty much exactly what you would expect it to be. I don't believe they serve food which means they're 100% focused on providing alcohol. It's a no frills place and full of eclectic people. There's a pool table and you can play "stump" (a game of hammering nails into a tree stump). I will say the bouncers did a very good job of keeping things under control. It's small enough that if someone starts acting like a jerk, the staff is made aware of it and they will handle the situation professionally.
