DONT GO HERE IF YOU’RE BLACK. Went in around 7pm on 8/16/25 and it was pretty much empty. Walked in and was not greeted. There were two younger male employees exchanging looks and snickering and when it was time for me to check out he pulled up the bill and walked away. I couldn’t even enjoy my ice cream because I was so disappointed by the service.
Update: Thank you for your response. Just to clarify, I wasn’t confused by your staff speaking another language, as I also speak multiple languages myself. What made the experience disappointing was the behavior and the disregard for basic customer service. Regardless of what was being said, it was very clear from the body language and demeanor that I was being spoken about, which left me feeling unwelcome.
That said, I appreciate your acknowledgment of the issue, the corrective steps you’re taking, and your willingness to address it moving forward. I hope my experience helps reinforce the importance of every customer being treated with respect and hospitality.
Update #2 (8/23/25): Since my last update, I still have not received any follow-up or resolution from management. While I appreciated the initial acknowledgment, the lack of any further action or communication speaks volumes. It’s disappointing that a business that emphasizes hospitality has not taken the opportunity to reach out directly to make things right. This experience has only reinforced how unwelcoming my visit felt, and I truly hope management takes accountability moving forward so that no other customer has to feel...
Read moreIn the now hipster area of Rino, the only thing missing from the restaurant list was a solid ice cream place (frozen yogurt is sooo out of style). Enter Heavenly Creamery.
Gelato, ice cream, and vegan ice cream all in one spot?!? Sounds too good to be true but that's what you'll find here. My wife always tries to find good vegan ice cream, not because she's actually vegan (thank god) but because she's lactose intolerant. Generally ice cream places have 2-4 vegan flavors, but Heaven had an entire case of flavors!
Not only that, but they have a case dedicated to ice cream, and one for gelato . There are so many options, you will find something for everyone. If scoops aren't your thing, they also have ice cream pops and brownie desserts.
As far as the taste, it was delicious. The gelato I had was creamy and flavorful. The vegan flavor didn't even taste like it was dairy free.
The portions were also massive. We got kid sized and they could easily be single scoop sizes at other places. We got cups, but should have gone for a different vessel as they also have chocolate waffle cones, banana splits, etc. Even more reason to come back!
This place is awesome and in a town saturated with ice cream, Heaven stands out as a top spot. Wish I could have shared the pictures, but by the time I thought about taking a picture we had already finished. Self control is not our...
Read moreThe ice cream here is amazing - Great flavors and lots of gluten-free and lactose-free options. I personally try to avoid gluten and it's hard to find a place that serves GF cones. There's wide range of flavors to pick from.
My main issue here was customer service - I've been here a few times and customer service is horrible. I will not give specifics but one employee is never in a good mood. I was there yesterday. There are so many flavors to try and she was limiting my party on how many flavors we could try. As I was browsing she said " So you're ready to order now" and I find that pushy attitude extremely rude. I've been to several great gelato shops and all the best shops allowed me to try as many flavors as I want. I find this completely absurd. If I brought 3 people to your shop then we can try all we want. If that's an issue I can go somewhere else. Customer service is horrible
my quarrel is not with the quality of the food but with the...
