You don’t want to do business with this venue. And I will explain why. Now first and foremost. I will explain MY fault in the situation so it’s not one sided or made to seem like I’m just trying to be negative for no reason. I signed a contract to do an event for my birthday at their establishment. The contract stated that the bar would do $8000 in bar tab. And the rest would be up to me to pay the balance. In the contract it did NOT state that the balance had to be paid in full that day. It did Not state that payment arrangements could not be made. All that is stated was I would have the event from 7pm to 11. And what the price would be. I loved the venue at first. So I went along with it. Against my better judgment. The most I have ever paid for a venue is 2k. The day of the event comes and truthfully it was a great night. A lot of people who got tickets never showed up and some hiccups like any event. But overall the event went off well. So much so that the owner (jake) came to me himself and spoke about what a great time he and his crew had for the event itself. Even the guests kept raving about the night. I intentionally had all card transactions and cash payments going through the venue. And I had full communication throughout the night asking if everything was ok and how the night was going and received no complaints. The end of the night comes and while everyone else left. I stayed late to discuss close out of the bar and payment arrangements. Now to clarify I have been doing events 10+ years and have never met an owner of any venue that wasn’t willing to work together or resolve things in a civilized way. I have never dealt with an owner who didn’t create multiple ways for promoters to get them the money they’re owed. I would also like to clarify that once I signed the contract I fully understand what I signed and at no point in any scenario was I going to try and back out of it. Regardless of the payment because I understand fully what I got myself into. That was never in question. At the end of the night they show me a total of 9k 1000 above the original 8k. So that was my first suspicion. Then they changed it to state a little above 8k. Which was still above the contract being that the contract states I would have to cover 8k. And from my understanding the gratuity and percentages were a part of that. But again I would like to state that it was a simple misunderstanding from my end. I was trying my absolute best to be understanding in that fact. Because again I signed so that’s my own fault for singing such a crazy contract. I proceed to text the owner since he left and the GM was trying to calculate and figure everything out. The texts start rather simple. I explained that I didn’t receive all the ticket money YET due to the fact that payments were made online. So I only had prepared what I paid for the bar because I simply did not know what the end result would be. As I’m explaining further the conversation proceeds to be more of an attack. Jake proceeds to accuse me of “stiffing” his bar. When I explained that at no point was I trying to do that. (I shared the full conversation via screenshot.) I stayed past an hour after the event was over to try and come to a resolution. I kept stating over and over the same thing. That it was never my intention to do so. I explained that the event itself only made 2k max. And the rest would have to come from me. But I wouldn’t get the ticket money until Monday a business day (the event was a Saturday)To clarify. the entire night I was making sure everyone came to the bar. I was making sure everyone was drinking. And the bar and venue definitely made money. The staff were amazing. The bartenders were astounding and respectful and incredibly pleasant. But the conversation with Jake got more and more negative. Just know this is not a place that you want to do business with. Go for a drink and that’s it. The staff is amazing and just leave it at that. I will get them their money and make sure I let EVERYONE know this is not the venue to work with...
Read moreHmmm. I guess I'm in the minority here. Long time music fan and frequent many of the venues in Denver. The bar area is kinda cool but I have several gripes. The stage area completely lacks any sense of ambience. Looks like it's not finished. No stage lighting and the mix was...well, not good. Also the acoustics are not the best. The chairs and tables in the stage area seem like something out of a school cafeteria. The couches were great but the tables, not so much. If you're a beer drinker you may want to go somewhere else. They only had 1 IPA selection and the night we were there that wasn't available. Taps not working. What?! Limited to choose from Modello and Coors/Miller and some other lame choices. When the waitress delivered my beer she just sat a can on the table. No glass. Took the wait staff about a good 10 minutes to figure out my bill and I only had 1 beer! Not impressed with this place. I hope they figure things out because as someone else here said RINO needs a good music venue but IMHO these guys aren't ready...
Read moreI was really excited to try this place with friends visiting from out of the country, but unfortunately, our experience fell short. We arrived around 5:45, looking forward to the 6:30 live music and happy hour. However, the music hadn’t started by the time we left around 7, which was disappointing since it was a big part of why we chose this spot.
Additionally, our server didn’t mention that the drinks she recommended weren’t included in the happy hour menu—only my friend’s mocktail was. The baguette we ordered also wasn’t what we expected, and both the bread and butter were served cold. While we still ate it because we were hungry, it wasn’t the quality we had hoped for.
Overall, the experience was a letdown, but I’d love to give this place another try and hope for a better...
