Metropolis Coffee — Restaurant in Denver

My fiancé and I, came in here for a simple coffee, and both baristas acted extremely annoyed at our presence in the store, we ordered our drinks any my fiancé asked for a simple pump of syrup in her coffee to which the barista let out a loud sigh and threw her arms up when she was asked, they then proceeded to set our drinks on the counter , while we were checking out the atmosphere in the store, and they wouldn’t bother to even tell us our coffees were ready, we had to just “find them” on the counter, absolute nasty disgusting attitudes within this store, if you can’t make a simple coffee without getting pissed off at a customer for doing your damn job, maybe you should be the janitor and clean the toilets and not have to interact with customers, the toilets is where the employees attitude belongs, if you can’t make a simple coffee without a attitude for having to do you’re damn job, I’d give zero stars if I could, horrible service, disgusting coffees, literally undrinkable, I wouldn’t recommend someone I despise to come to this store, go to Bardo’s, it’s down the street, friendly service and the drinks are 1000x better, never again will this establishment receive my business, and I would absolutely deter anybody...

The decor is decent, location is convenient, and coffee is passable but that's really where the good ends. The Baristas tend to be not very personable, and the music is often too loud to concentrate. The selection of food is pretty lacking, as well. While the upstairs area is an excellent place to work, it's ruined by the constantly blasting music.

There are much better options in the area, such as Bardo, or Mutiny. While I often hesitate to recommend it, Starbucks might even be a safer bet if you need somewhere to work/study/concentrate.

Snooty and surly staff. They make great coffee but their staff is so unfriendly they make you feel unwelcome so it's an unpleasant experience getting a coffee here. I've had a barista here argue with me when they made me the wrong drink. This morning the barista was so unfriendly that she looked positively angry to have to make me a cappuccino.
