I took my friend here for her bday lunch..so we both got CBD drinks, a charcoal detox shot, kale salads and split the broccolini soup—why did we share soup?? That was awkward. The tab was $85 or so. 😂 But! we are both Boulder transplants so we were used to those prices for hippie deluxe food. The salads were actually SO SO so good and not skimpy at all on the ingredients..shiitakes in every bite 👌🏼. The soup was kinda meh—but I believe it was a daily special. My only complaint is that it seems to have turned into a co-working space..people seemed camped out to the max and it was actually hard to find a seat and this place is huge..like small warehouse big. It was obvious that this was also annoying to the staff. We joked that the bartender’s response to someone asking for water ( presumably the 100th person of the day ) wasn’t very “nurturing.” 😂 All in all, it’s a beautiful space. The 1st floor is dedicated to the restaurant, some cutie little pop-up shops, a fitness studio, while the 2nd floor is full of hip natural health practitioners and a super cute low-tox salon with all the trendy (in a good way) natural hair products. I’m a hairstylist and I was vibing their set up. 🫶🏼 I’ll be back. I’m a sucker for the obscenely beautiful and obscenely expensive health food lifestyle thing. Just beware the parking. I had to do a 20 point turn to back out of their full front parking lot, onto busy Federal. Ick. Park in back or on side streets, unless you’re some...
Read moreI had the weirdest interaction here today. Both my partner and I went in to eat. We drove from the other side of town because it seemed lovely. He went in first, talked to the staff and I went in to order our food. He had looked at the menu on their website and chose a drink from their menu. So when I went in to order, this blond staff member was very short with me and was like, “where did you both read that drink name from? It’s not on the menu” And I said, “from your website.” They said they have to look at the website then because it must not be updated. Turns out they had changed their menu for fall, but didn’t update it on their website or on Google. Anyway, we order another drink instead and I pay $70 for our food - 1 16 oz matcha, 1 green juice, one bison burger, 1 side of salmon and avocado and a bottle of hot sauce. Everything tasted fine.
Idk. It just felt like, this person was in a huff with me because they didn’t update their menu and how was I supposed to know? I get everyone has bad days it just made me not want to go back as it was my first interaction with the company. Brunette staff member...
Read moreWith an unassuming street presence, Nurture is a unique find among Denver plant-based and healthy restaurants. I was completely impressed by the healthy, locally oriented and significantly plant-based menu which pays attention to whole, unprocessed foods and sustainable practices. I treated myself to the forbidden kimchi. The dish had a bold and colorful taste profile. Added avocado for a plant-based boost. 8/10 (See Photo) i’m looking forward to trying many more options and visiting for a happy hour soon. Everyone I met was helpful, positive and engaged. The space was bustling with diners and soft-spoken workers alike.
The space is relaxed and community oriented with no less than 60 tenants in the building at large. Nurture and its parent organization provide events you will want to check out. I’ve spent well over 20 years in Denver, and the food scene continues to move toward more and more healthy “pro human” options.
I’m very happy to have found nurture, and I’m looking forward to events and visits...
