the worst part about this story is that i was surveyed by a snarfburger marketing person several months ago which caused me to try this restaurant again. on 7pm easter sunday (manager, i’m happy to discuss the specific employee), i walked in to place an order for takeout. i live only 1 block away (could have been a regular). when i ordered, the cashier was ADAMANT (unsmiling and adamant) that it would be AT LEAST 30 minutes for this order (manager, she was deterring business). i said, “ok well can i check in at like 20m to check on status?” she rolled her eyes and said “you can but the shortest wait is 30m”
so i left and went to safeway. i returned after 27 minutes. the order had been waiting so long that the employees asked if it was my order when i walked in. there is no way to know when this order was actually completed but when i tell you there was no warmth to the bag, it was no exaggeration. the fries and rings are clammy and cold (it had to have been waiting more than 10-15! gross). i genuinely am not exaggerating.
i’ve now tossed it in the trash and have ordered a federal burger. that is where i will be buying my burgers from now on!
oh - i should mention that the employee was averting her eyes when i mentioned what i was told to the people who had the order sitting there, they all just stared at me. no one offered to remake it.
no customer paying $10+ for a burger should expect this kind of service. and that, my friends, is why i took the time to write...
Read moreI am on an extremely strict eating regimen and I was allowed to have burger and fries today so I decided on snarf burgers after contemplating where to go since I normally have a great experience and the food is awesome. My kids and I ordered, I watched her enter everything on the screen and it was all correct. So when she asked if I wanted a receipt, I replied no. There was one couple that ordered before us and they probably had a ton of online orders and I didn’t mind waiting since I wanted this burger all day. Over 25 min later we receive our meal. Missing a sandwich, other sandwich was completely wrong, and mine was supposed to be a double and it was not. She asked for my receipt and I was like remember you asked and I said no. They did not look short staffed. I have worked in the service industry for 14 years and I understand missing an item or messing up one burger but the whole meal. I think it was the manager that offered a refund but we had ate half of it and threw the rest away so I didn’t feel right receiving a refund. He apologized and said we’ll do better next time but not in an honest matter, more of just an irritated annoyed way. Extremely disappointed in the service. To the staff, I understand it’s hot in that tiny place and working on that grill is extremely hot and it gets busy but reading tickets and making sure they are correct is a huge priority. Read moreHad a bad everything last night. Came in at 7:20 last night (they close at 8) ordered our burgers and some fries. They said the fryer was not working. But I saw 3 other people eating fries and tots around us. I'm guessing they wanted to turn them.off but then close at 7 not 8. Got our food home but the food was awful. My daughter ordered a grill cheese sandwich but the inside of one of the pieces of bread was very badly burnt. Looked like they burnt one side and put the burt side on the inside. Then my burger was a bacon guacamole burger. But it had no bacon My wife had a burger and added bacon as well but no bacon as well for her. We had a total of 4 burgers and all of them were raw in the middle.
I have been a chef my whole life. I worked all over this town. This felt a lot like they wanted to get out of there at 8 so they rushed everything.
Also not all there fault but we wanted to eat on the benches in front for dinner but there was a homeless man with a shopping cart who had emptied his stuff taking up the tables. Just disappointing the staff doesn't take pride in a work place.
