We are longtime patrons of Okinawa and decided to order our Valentine's dinner from here. We understand restaurants can get busy, so we waited patiently while the delivery time kept getting pushed back. But then after 2 1/2 hours of waiting, the restaurant suddenly cancelled our order without any notice or explanation. In fact, it was the delivery driver who saw our order sheet sitting there with a time stamp from 2 1/2 hours ago and decided he should call us to let us know that the restaurant had not started the order, and they told him they were not going to make the order. Okinawa Sushi is right off of the popular Tennyson street in the Berkeley neighborhood in Denver.

I have to visit Denver often and I always make sure I come here for lunch. The staff is friendly and attentive.

The seating inside seating is comfortable and the have relaxing Japanese music playing.

The sushi menu is huge and they offer other options too like udon and bento boxes. They also have specials throughout the week that make it interesting.

Sushi was pretty good, the staff was really quick and friendly. Our entrees came out very quickly as well and were beautifully plated. However, their dessert was just terrible. I didn't have high expectations for a sushi place to have good dessert, but truly, don't spend the 9 dollars on any of them. The tirimisu was frozen solid in the middle, and the salted caramel cheese cake was really awful. Bad dessert on your birthday is just a bummer, so I would've given more stars if they just didn't have dessert...
