We ordered takeout from Beau Thai and the experience was okay. While I likes the spring rolls, thinking they tasted fresh and light, my husband didn’t as he said they were empty and boring. Neither of us likes the crab wantons because they had a strong curry flavor that made them taste more like something you’d get from an Indian restaurant, which would be fine, but from an Indian restaurant. The pad Thai with chicken was rough. It was a bit better the next day after I’d dressed it up with cilantro and chopped peanuts and scallion greens but I’d probably avoid ordering it in the future. The green curry with chicken was by far the best thing we ordered. It was flavorful and sweet and spicy- I’d definitely recommend ordering it. I ordered it extra mild so I could share it with my curry loving toddler. What we got was way too spicy for him, so be aware that their extra mild is still pretty spicy, but it was admittedly perfect for me, especially since I like spicy food and sometimes get sick of ordering to make a baby happy! 😉 Also, the ratio of rice to curry was way too small, so you’re probably going to want to either order a side of rice with it or make an extra serving ahead of time if you’re...
Read moreI’ll start with the good … The atmosphere of the restaurant is super nice, it’s very clean and cute to dine inside. We got seated and we’re given waters immediately. Also the crispy egg roles were great, one of my new favorites in Denver. The bad … Service was atrociously slow, after ordering one appetizer and two entrees it took over 45 minutes for our food to arrive. My partner had to get another servers (who was nice) attention to find out our appetizer and entrees were almost ready and would be ready at the same time. We told the server to hold our entrees for just a few minutes while we ate our app. As for the entrees, Pad Thai and Pad see ew were okay but lacked flavor. I will say the Pad see ew was better than the Pad Thai. Also our server we started with barely paid much attention to us besides bringing water and taking our order. We may have felt different about our experience if he let us know about the wait, apologiesed, or sparked a conversation with us. This place has so much potential but service and ticket times have to get better. I’d suggest putting guests on a waitlist if the kitchen is behind and aim to hire more...
Read moreTldr: Food poisoning; good service, good portions; poor quality of food and flavor.
First try was a togo order. Of tofu pad see ew and chicken drunken noodles and papya salad. On the positive side: the service was good and from what I saw the atmosphere and design of the restaurant was modern and nice, and the portions of food were very generous.
The negatives: The food was not competitive when matched against other modern American thai foods (alloy, US thai, farmhouse thai, even swing thai) spots near by it was weak in flavor and quality. The noodles were over cooked and in small pieces rather than proper length and the flavor would be a better match for castle rock (no judgment just experience) bland and in desperate need of everything. We seasoned it ourselves.
The very bad: the the chicken gave my friend food poisoning and left her sick for hours before a work day.
I will usually give a place three try’s and at least one dine in before I leave review. On this occasion Im just going to leave it at 1.
