I have missed my Greek salad ever since Gyros place closed. I ate at Gyros Place for a couple decades before they closed. I just found out about this restaurant owned by the same folks. It was wonderful! So glad to have found them!
Stopped in last night 4/11/23 at 8:07 pm. Found a note on the door stating they were closing early. Only take out orders were allowed after 8 pm. Needless to say I was bummed because posted hours on the internet said they closed at 9 pm and I had drove in. Very disappointing! I will definitely avoid stopping in on week nights again.

I have stopped going to this restaurant. I absolutely love their Kitchen Greek Salad with Gyros. Every time I eat this salad it is a different portion size. SHRINKFLATION has hit Pete's Kitchen - and the owner's grandson, is the current manager. He is responsible for directing his cooks to prepare, and serve smaller portions. He and I have had an interesting discussion about his Grandfather's legacy of serving generous portions at reasonable prices in his diners. The young man believes if he doesn't cut portion sizes his restaurant will have to close. I encouraged him to stop messing around with portion, and serving sizes - and to increase prices in a reasonable way to adjust for inflation. I have eaten this salad at Pete's restaurants longer than this young man has been alive. I enjoy being a regular at a restaurant that serves a consistently good product. I just don't appreciate the lack of consistency. Sometimes my salad is generous in size, others it is skimpy and small, then other times it is medium sized. I give up. I am currently looking for a new place to go to find a GREAT Greek Salad. It is hard. There's was definitely my favorite. Come on guys - life is unpredictable enough. Can you get your act together so your regular patrons can count on a consistently...
Read moreIf I could use only one word to describe Pete's kitchen it would be incredible. I have now lived in the area for nearly 2 months and I have visited Pete's AT LEAST 3 times a week. Typically my server is, Megan, who is attentive, quick, and caring. I drink a ridiculous amount of iced tea and Megan makes sure my cup is never empty, and my food is served quick and correct, all while doing it with a smile. The other person who frequently serves me is Kyle, who is phenomenal, as well. The chef (that is normally here when I am), Justin cooks some of the most incredible food in the Denver area. Their breakfast and lunch options are equally delicious. My two favorites are the Gyro Sandwich with fries and the Corned Beef Hash and Eggs. The gyro, in particular, is absolutely masterful. Chock-full of meat, a lamb and beef combo, sliced right off the spit, tomatoes, and tzatziki sauce all combined in a soft and freshly warmed pita, (I add feta cheese to mine). I'm salivating just thinking about it despite just finishing one! The evening manager Tanya is great, she has always made sure I have had a great experience. All in all I have to say Pete's Kitchen is such a refreshing restaurant, 5 star service and food, in a great hole-in-the-wall atmosphere that makes you feel like family. I will continue to visit my FAVORITE restaurant multiple times a week! Give it a try, you...
Read moreI love Pete’s! I did have a super awkward experience there recently though. My daughters and I dropped in to grab lunch. Everything was pretty standard. Got our waters and drinks right away. Then the waitress (the one with red hair and tattoos) came to take our order. As the waitress was taking our order she seemed distracted. She asked both of my daughters to repeat their orders which is okay in itself, but she seemed annoyed. She took my order last. Before I could finish speaking, or say thank you, she walked away. We sat for about 30 minutes while the whole restaurant cleared out and the kitchen completely slowed down before a different waitress noticed us sitting there. She asked us if we had ordered our food, or if we were going to order our food. I informed her we had already ordered our food, but she looks confused because the kitchen was so slow that the cooks had actually stepped out to take a quick breather, and it was obvious nothing was being cooked. Come to find out the waitress that took our order didn’t put our order in and in fact, had punched out and went home for the day. Kudos to the waitress that took over and handled there situation in the most professional way. Gave her a nice big tip. I will definitely be going back to Pete’s. I will just be avoiding the waitress with red hair and tattoos...
