Smashburger — Restaurant in Denver

Smash burger is one of my favorite burger joints. This, however, is one location I will not return to. The manager is more interested in openly arguing with customers than in good service. The guy in front of us was forced to go back through the line when his to-go burger was left to sit under the heat lamps so long that it became cold. He was told that it would “be just fine” so he took the bag and got in his car only to discover that it was cold. He came back inside where they forced him to wait through the line (a very long, slow moving line) a second time. The manager felt that it was more important to milk another $4 out of this customer, and wanted him to order and pay for another burger. In the meantime, while the manager was arguing about this man’s order sitting under heat lamps too long, I witnessed orders, ready to be served, sitting under the heat lamp for more than 5 minutes with no one to serve them. This place is severely understaffed and their manager needs some lessons in customer service.

Also, I’ve seen the other reviews mentioning that it smells like funky fish. So true. No fish on the menu...

I have worked in the food industry but really is it that hard to get a single thing right? Walk up to the counter give the cashier our order and she spaced adding a combo to the burger multiple times. Sit down food comes out and open up my burger and it's missing sauce so I walk over over to their counter where all the high school employees are just standing around and ask for sauce. Get the sauce go back to my table and bam it's missing jalapeños too. Miss one thing fine but miss two things really??? Not to mention their monitors in front of them spell out the tops on the burger for them. So when I go back to the counter and ask for Jalapeños the dude behind the counter rudely slides the jalapeños to the server. She politely asked him to remove something off the Lil condiment cup and he rolls his eyes and says "REALLY?!" Are you kidding me dude yes really I should never have to take that from some Lil high school kid with blonde surfer hair who can't make a burger right. Can't take the heat get out the kitchen. NEVER EVER RETURNING TO THIS RESTAURANT. PS THE BURGER WAS CRAP TO GO WITH THE CRAP...

We ordered through Uber eats for dinner this evening. The manager on duty who answered the phone told us there was nothing they could do about the incorrect order. I literally just wanted to go and pick up the correct order. I was told they couldnt do it. So I got 5 burgers with cheese 2 of which were completely raw in the middle. My daughter cant eat cheese due to an intolerance, 1 was burnt. We didnt order any cheese burgers to begin with. At the least if they choose to allow these companies to deliver food for them and they not the Uber Eats make a mistake then they should figure out a way to make it right not tell me they are helpless I need to reorder with Uber Eats. Wont order here again first and last time. Once before at a different restaurant they sent the wrong order and the restaurant offered a credit and new food free for the inconvenience. They can help they dont want to. Easier to get the bad reviews and no one eats it all ends...
