I would like to give this sandwich shop more stars, but the biggest reason for the 3 stars is simply for the price point not matching the quality or uniqueness of the sandwiches on their menu. This was my first time in and I decided to dine in. I ordered the pastrami w/ swiss, pickle, sprouts and tomatoes. I got the 7 inch because the cashier explained that they could not do a 5 inch pastrami. So my total with a $2 tip was a little over $15. Not a big deal to me that they couldn't do the smaller size, but I can see where that could annoy some people. Also, I know this is Cherry Creek and food just costs more here, so I was totally fine with the price before receiving my food. But at that price point and in a higher-end of town, I did expect a really good sandwich. But the pastrami was pretty bland. Didn't have a lot of flavor at all, like most pastramis typically do. I could also barely taste the swiss, too. Seemed like pretty low quality meat and cheese. It was very much a Subway toasted sandwich. Which is fine, if I were at Subway and paying $7 for the sandwich. Overall, I was just not impressed. Their menu was also lacking unique specialty sandwiches. They had a separate special sandwich menu, but it was mostly basic sandwiches that you would typically find on a deli's regular sandwich menu, as opposed to a separate specialty menu. Just nothing special or unique about it. I will say the staff was very friendly and attentive, though. Just wish there was something more to their sandwiches. Highly underwhelming is a good description,...
Read moreIn a single word, dissapointed. I've known about Snarf's for over a year but just never made the trip. I was excited to learn that one was opening in Cherry Creek, but this location is so terrible, it's not even funny.
Called for delivery since the website said they would, man who answered said they won't deliver. Fine.
Ordered three subs and two soups for pick-up, this was a difficult process as some sandwiches have set ingredient lists and other you have to build. I had never ordered before so I just kinda guessed what my co-worker would like. Inconvenient.
Guy says 15 minutes so I wait about 10 and start walking. It's a ten minute walk so I've given them 20 minutes. Wouldn't you know it, they have painted on the front of the shop something to the effect "We Deliver". I get inside and ask the guy and he just kinda shrugs. Pick up isn't ready. Frustrating.
The guy assures me they will have it out soon and proceeds to talk both my ears off. 10 minutes into this casual conversation, and now 15 minutes after the promised time I ask what the eta on my food might be. They haven't even started my order is what the guy behind the counter confirms. Baffled.
To their absolute minimal credit they finish the order in less than 5 minutes. Took it back and now we are at almost an hour where getting food usually takes 15-20 minutes. No one likes their sandwich, nothing is fresh, both soups are cold and bland. I will never return to this Snarf's and I'm not interested in trying a different location....
Read moreI don’t quite understand the negative reviews for this Snarf’s location bc my experience there was really good. The staff members were genuinely friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. I appreciated that my sandwich was ready even before the scheduled pick-up time. I walked from an appointment to pick up my sandwich and they were even cool with me waiting for an Uber, they didn’t do that thing some restaurants do where they look at you oddly like you’re not supposed to be in there.
While it might not have been the absolute best sandwich I’ve ever had, it was well-crafted and definitely worth ordering again. Its main purpose was to satisfy my hunger, and it did just that. The team responsible for making it did an amazing job with my meatball sub. The portioning was perfect, with an ideal balance of meatballs and bread, and the marinara sauce was skillfully distributed. No marinara sauce on my fingers. That’s skill.
Some people might have unrealistic expectations when dining at local eateries, expecting every sandwich to be a mind-blowing experience. The hardworking kitchen staff is doing their best to cater to various tastes, even if they’re not always all smiles and cheerfulness. And that’s perfectly fine.
If you’re in search of a tasty sandwich, I would definitely recommend giving this place a chance. Don’t write it off based solely on negative reviews. It’s a clean establishment with...
