Absolutely HORRIBLE!!! I am a 20 year Veteran of the United States Air Force and have owned a reputable well known company for the past 15 years. On 9-26-2017 at approx: 5:30 p.m. I entered this subway with a possible client to eat and do paperwork. As we were walking to a booth and before sitting down the person working (mid 20s, short hair, white male, approx 5'4" tall) yelled across the restaurant "Can I help You!!" I believe there was one or two other people in the dining area and he was the only one working. There was no one ordering food at the time. I told him we were going to start some paperwork and would order our food shortly. We were sitting in our booth for no more then a couple of minutes when the employee came out of a side door and said "you need to leave now." I asked him if they were closing and he told me no but we had to leave. When I asked why, he stated I didn't ask permission to sit down and "do business" before going to a booth. I reiterated that we were going to start some paperwork and would order and my client even stated she was hungry and would be up in a minute. He said get out and don't ever come back, you are no longer allowed here. I was blown away. This Subway is located next to the Denver Court house and is frequented by professionals who do paperwork and meet with clients daily. In the many times I have been in this establishment since it opened, I have always shown the courtesy of purchasing something, from a soda and chips to a sandwich when i'm there. I have never been asked to order my food first before sitting down. For this young man to kick me out of this Subway is appalling. Upon returning to my office I looked up the number to this Subway and called to try and speak to a manger. The individual who was working when I was there answered and when I asked for a manager he told me "i'm the manager." When I asked for the name of his manager, he hung up. I called back and after several attempts, he answered. I again asked for the name of his managers and at the point he told me "go online" and hung up. At approximately 7:20 p.m. I again called in an attempt to speak to a manager at which time he told me not to call back and that he turned my number over to the police for harassment.
If this is the kind of customer service this Subway and its parent company approve of its a shame. I suggest they look into their hiring process before hiring a person that has no respect for customers and my guess anyone else for that matter and does not have the aptitude to communicate in an adult manner. Pathetic. I will make it known to all that this is a place to avoid...
Read moreI worked around the corner and I was always swamped with work. Eventually, I would take a few minutes to run to the corner and grab a sandwich. Not one time, not ONE time, was I ever forced to go somewhere else, or huff and puff and check my watch obsessively. I walked in the door, they greeted me, they made my sandwich within 1 minute of my arrival, and I was back out the door within 6-10 min tops. Plus, they are fun and easy going employees and I appreciate that. I say four stars in atmosphere only due to the location, which can be a little nutty at times. You’ll have the occasional transient causing a problem or screaming out front of the store on the streets, but that’s life. Plus, I saw an employee handle that right away one time. Walked outside, asked them to move up the street and away from the door, and kept it low key. The guy did as asked and that was that. No big deal. I thought they were getting ready to close as the 2 staff members in the shop appeared annoyed when I walked in but the sign said close at 8 pm. One of the 2 appeared to be off duty & hanging out & they were having an intense bitching type of conversation about co-workers/scheduling & other job concerns which continued over me the whole time & the guy making my sandwich barely acknowledged me except to listen to what I wanted & they were out of the bread I wanted. He gave me my sandwich in a bag but left my other items all over the counter as he jumped back into the bitching session. NO kind of thank you or faint hint of courtesy as I packed up the rest of my order myself & walked out. I hope the sandwich is better then the customer service because that REALLY sucked !! I was really hoping it would be better then the nightmare store on West Colfax but my first impressions...
