Sweet Ginger Asian Bistro&Sushi — Restaurant in Denver

Was a bit worried at first since Sweet Ginger’s menu is all over the place, serving Thai, Chinese/Cantonese, Malaysian, and Japanese for example, but we’re inKind members and this place was highly rated. Went there for a Sat late lunch and were right away impressed that not only did they serve lunch specials on the weekend but it was also Happy Hour until 3pm! Ordered the lunch Pork Penang curry, combo Singapore rice noodles, and 2 lunch sushi rolls (eel and spicy yellowtail). Lunch entrees come with soup/salad and bowl of rice. The Penang curry was outstanding, flavorful with a hint of spicy warmth, creamy, and the pork was perfectly tender with big fresh veggies. The noodles were crazy good, so much flavor with lots of chicken, beef, and beautifully cooked shrimp (not rubbery). The sushi rolls were overshadowed by these 2 dishes and quite honestly clashed with the entree flavors but that was our fault for ordering them, not the restaurant’s. Otherwise the rolls were very good. Love the coziness of the sub-street restaurant but still lots of tables indoors and a BIG outdoor patio which would be so fun during the summer! Service was incredible. My glass of water was filled continually without asking and food came out hot and fast. Portions were generous for lunch size and for 2 of us we were STUFFED. RACIST/ BIAS/ Discriminatory and accusatory LEADERSHIP

I found out about this restaurent by means of Doordash, which I drive occasionally. I have been a recurring costumer of sweet ginger for over a year now. From the first day I went there I never stoped until today. I have brought everyone from my personal to my social circle there.

However, today I was told by a server that the manager doesn’t approve of me eating at the restaurant for I apparently didn’t pay gratuities the last time I ate there.

Very Surprised and confused by his commentary, I directly went and adressed the manager whom began a hidebound rant and blamed me for not being able to pay her servers and even asked me to leave the premises.

I hence asked the server who regularly serves me at their location if that was a shared feeling and he disagreed.

In the eventuality that I did forget to pay for my gratuities at my last trip there this is not how to treat and address a regular customer or ANY customer.

Still in shock from this occurrence I will NOT SUGGEST EATING THERE, specially AS A PERSON OF COLOUR for I do not understand the rationality...
