Sweet Izzy — Restaurant in Denver

I found this place on the Find Me Gluten Free app because we came into town for vacation with a celiac kiddo so we were super excited that they are 100% GF! She hasn't experienced anywhere that is 100% GF where we live, so this was super exciting for us. We had possibly the warmest welcome of anywhere I've ever been to (despite coming close to closing time). We were asked if we'd ever been in and when they found out we hadn't and we had a celiac family member they were over the top excited to give us a one-of-a-kind experience. The gentelman helping us went through every single ingredient and almost started crying when he saw the look of joy on our kid's face. The ice cream was actually really good, and I'm used to eating dairy ice cream. They also have a location in Massachusetts so I'll be visiting that location as well if I'm visiting the area! We will definitely be back, thank you so much for caring about those with dietary restrictions! Sweet Izzy is AMAZING!!! There are no 2 ways about it - the ice cream here is incredible, the topping choices are first-rate, and the staff is so warm and welcoming. Plus, the owner, Mike, is a giant goofball who has an unreal memory for his customer base. They truly have a way of making you feel welcomed and special.

I live nowhere near this place, but when I'm in the Cherry Creek area and have time, I stop in. It's well-worth a trip just for this. Their vegan soft serve alone is incredible. I went with a vegetarian friend on my last visit - and she also happens to be someone who grew up with a family-run ice cream store and she was blown away by how delicious everything was and declared that she would have to bring her wife down at the first opportunity!

As if all that wasn't enough, they are incredibly allergy-friendly and Mike even know immediately what very few things had corn in them when I inquired about it for another friend.

(GF/DF/SF) You GUYS - I haven't been to an ice cream shop in literal years, and if I have, there was maybe one item I could eat IF I could read the ingredient label before ordering. I am going to be further restricting my diet for health reasons soon, so my husband and I wanted a place I could get something sugary for "the last time". I looked this place up on a whim, and WOW was I floored!!! I could order purely based on flavor preference, with NO concerns of contamination or feeling ill. I had a banana split for the first time in over 5 years and it was WONDERFUL!! My husband also ordered (no allergies or sensitivities) and he really enjoyed it, which he typically doesn't when he tries my everything-free stuff!! I have been giddy since visiting. 6/5 and such...
