This French gem in Cherry Creek never fails to impress - Bienvenue à Le Bilboquet Denver! While Le Bilboquet's classic dishes like the Le Poulet Cajun & La Bavette remain, Chef has whipped up some exciting new offerings that capture the essence of springtime.

Le Bilboquet Denver is located in Cherry Creek. We arrived and were seated in the main dining room. The aesthetic of Le Bilboquet was that of enduring French flair with blue velvet banquettes, unique chandelier lighting, & white linen tablecloths. The restaurant's sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere made it the perfect spot for a romantic date night (also great for a celebratory dinner or brunch, or a solo indulgence at the bar). With impeccable service (General Manager Darragh & staff never cease to amaze) and an impressive wine list, Le Bilboquet guarantees a memorable dining experience.

Our dinner service began with Veuve Clicquot & caviar - phenomenal start. The acidity and lightness of the champagne cut through the richness of the caviar, cleansing our palates and allowing us to appreciate the subtle flavors of both.

The spring ‘Les Hors d’oeuvres’ included Smoked Salmon and Foie Gras Mousse. The Smoked Salmon was made with salmon, egg yolk, egg white, & capers - light & fresh. The Foie Gras Mousse was topped with grapefruit gelatin and served alongside fig jam & toast - beautiful and complex.

The Le Carpaccio de Saint Jacques was made with Scallops, Pearl Pepper, Tamarind Passion Fruit Ponzu & Wonton (the scallop carpaccio was the dish that won the ‘People’s Choice Award’ at Rare Steak Festival 2023). This dish was an explosion of flavors - the natural sweetness of the scallops was complemented by the fruity notes of passion fruit and balanced by the tanginess of the tamarind & ponzu. The wonton crisps provided a delightful crunch in textural contrast.

The La Salade d'Endives was made with Endives, Citrus, Almonds, Apricots, & Dijonnaise dressing.

The spring 'La Soupe Du Jour' was Cauliflower. This soup was lovely - thick and savory with a bite of salt.

For spring cocktails - we had the St Germain Spritz and a Blackberry Sage. The St Germain Spritz was my absolute favorite - a light and refreshing cocktail that’s vying for spring’s best drink in my book. The Blackberry Sage was characterized by premium black raspberries and a rum base - good and fruit forward.

Le Poulet Cajun was made with Cajun Chicken, Beurre Blanc, French Fries & Salad. Le Poulet Cajun is the signature dish that put Le Bilboquet on the map (it’s one of the best chicken entrees you can find in Denver). The chicken breast was succulent with a lovely spice rubbed exterior. The Beurre Blanc sauce was luscious & buttery.

La Bavette was made with 8 oz Prime Flank Steak, Green Peppercorn Sauce, & French Fries. This steak was unreal; each bite had us coming back for more. The green peppercorn sauce was next level and generously coated the lean, rich steak.

For spring ‘Les Entrées’ we had the Lamb Loin and the Branzino. The Lamb Loin was tender & juicy and was upgraded in taste from the sweet/spicy kick that came from the chutney. The Branzino was served atop a pillowy bed of rice pilaf that was cooked in a mouthwatering French curry.

Time for more cocktails! The Plum Lavendar martini was light with a delicate floral aftertaste. The Coffee Amaretto Sour was tangy and refreshing on the forefront with some bourbon on the back.

For dessert we had the Crème Brulée and the Vacherine. The Crème Brulée had the thinnest sugar crust with a silky custard base. The Vacherine was gorgeous and pleased in taste and texture - fruity,...

Was super excited to try out this French restaurant since my travel has been limited ha ha. My mother and I went there for lunch looking forward to getting fancy, with our food that is… Matthew was our server and he was phenomenal, he went with the flow and try to make our experience the best he could. Unfortunately he has no control of the quality of the food! We started by ordering the Nicoise salad, and the mushroom soup. The soup was absolutely delightful, and gluten-free which is great! The Nicoise salad was subpar if even edible. The tomatoes were collapsed and old, the potatoes were raw and not even cooked, the lettuce was wilted and not really impressed with the amount of olive oil and flavor was on it. We shook it off and figured it’s got to get better right? We waited an extremely long period of time to get our main course we ordered the bass. It came with spaghetti squash and the fish, we also decided to add some fingerling potatoes thank goodness. The spaghetti squash was raw, the fish really no flavor whatsoever… but those fingerling potatoes were amazing! Between the two of us we couldn’t even finish the fish because it was just not motivating. Of course the manager or should I say office manager came over to talk to us about our experience. She was sweet and seemed happy and helpful but also accusatory. We told her about the salad she asked us why we didn’t send it back like it was our fault that we didn’t confirm the food was not edible. She asked us what was she supposed to send to her chef so they could fix the problem? I didn’t think that was my responsibility. We told her she was more than welcome to take that uncooked spaghetti squash and under flavored bass to him. She took the salad off of our bill which was fine. We weren’t looking for that, but was a nice gesture. The strangest part of it is when she came up to us before we left and asked us for our names and phone numbers to keep track or to reach out so we would come back. Never had someone ask me that after a bad restaurant experience. But maybe it’s some thing new they’re trying. I told her I will not be back because when you spend $100 on lunch for two people and have such horrible food it’s hard to bring it back around and...

I'll preface with we ate here for Valentine's Day Dinner, after having the reservations for over 2 months and being so excited to dine here for the first time - I think it's fair to say things were WAY overpriced.

It's hard to judge a restaurant on customer service when it's a FULL HOUSE holiday... but, I'll do my best to be fair.

Reservation @ 7:00pm - we arrived @ 7:09pm and didn't get to our table until around 8:00pm. While we waited in the lounge, we encountered a beautiful waitress who was witty, charming and spent a few minutes chatting. She grabbed our champagne and told us she'd transfer the tab over when our table was ready.

Once upon being seated, we came to quickly find out that the menu was prix fix - this was never mentioned on the confirmation call, and should have been. We made the arrangements to order from it, took another 45 to receive our entrees after waiting for our appetizers for almost 20. We let our waiter know that we had concert reservations at 9:15pm and to just box up our entrees & desserts.

AFTER him being fully aware of the concert and our limited timing - he apologized but didn't send over a manager to help rectify. In the end, by the time dinner arrived we were starving and barely had minutes to spare. We ended up MISSING our concert because just to get our tab processed took longer than expected.

For the hell of it, people please know the food is edible and has a sumptuous flair. We enjoyed the halibut most, but again wanted to order from the normal dinner menu and didn't get the chance too. Dessert was subpar. Lobster bisque was very very thick but the flavor was amazing. Wine selection is top notch... however with a $650+ tab, I and my two table guests were completely underwhelmed.

Maybe we will try again.... sad we missed our concert and lost out on...

The food was fabulous. Other than an odd seat spacing/bus boy issue(see at end of review - I may add a the gory details later) I think everyone should place this restaurant on their dining rotation. La Salad de Betteraves - I personally don't eat beets but the wife and mother-in-law are huge fans and absolutely raved over it. I did find the goat cheese to die for and the sauce ***** La Salade de Crane rt Avocat - perfect in presentation and flavor. Le NY Steak - I'm not a strip steak fan. I always find it a bit tougher than I prefer but surprisingly it was far above my expectations. Cooked to ordered perfection and seared with a flavor everyone enjoyed. Les Saint Jacques and the mussels - I can't review these because unfortunately my usually petite appetite mother-in-law ate ALL of them. And there was almost 30 individual mussels that if I didn't know better devoured and gushed over. The wife's scallops looked great. I did get to taste the French fries which were wonderful but let's be honest... They shared the friggin fries, not the tasty seafood ... Desserts were delicious as expected. If they have the carrot cake as a special just say yes. Creme brulee was very good and wife loved her chocolate mousse which she (again) decided I was not worthy of tasting.

A Must Try Exceptional Experience! As someone who travels frequently and has experienced a wide range of highly regarded restaurants, including Michelin-starred spots, I can confidently say our dinner at Le Bilboquet in Cherry Creek stood out in the best way. The atmosphere felt effortlessly French, elegant without trying too hard. The food was excellent and one of the dishes required several modifications due to diet restrictions. Not only were they handled with a smile and without hesitation, the dish were perfectly prepared. Alessandro, our highly skilled server, made the night! Exceptional communication, professionalism, and serving skills (He didn't talk over our food when serving it). His timing was thoughtful and he paid close attention to every single detail, absolute precision, which made a lasting impression on all of us. You should experience his service yourself. Everything, from the pace of the meal to the quality and presentation, was as a refined, memorable experience we’ll absolutely come back for.
