PAINFULLY, absurdly slow shipping. My order took 12 days to arrive to Denver and currently holds the record for the slowest shipping I've had in the past decade. I honestly didn't know it was possible for something to take that long in 2019. Walking would have been faster by a full week. My expectation, since they are located in the same city as me, would be a couple of days delivery time at most. Other Denver shops have two day turn around but apparently Coffee Bean ships from Utah.
Beans themselves are pretty old, which is hardly surprising considering it took nearly 2 weeks to simply ship them. Coffee is stale and more on par with mass market grocery store beans than something from a dedicated coffee shop. I can only imagine how long they've been sitting around. I now understand why they need to offer significant discounts but the price just doesn't justify the terrible service and average quality.
Bottom line is there are other local roasters that have both better quality and service for around the same price point. Do yourself a favor and order from...
Read moreAt den airport around 10-10:30, Wednesday August 13th, waiting to get my coffee, I know the staff is by herself so I didn’t rush her. when she turned away didn’t ask me to wait, I didn’t know if she is still taking order and I asked, she instantly snapped at me yelled at me for asking her and tell me to wait. She also didn’t greet me even when taking order, rudely said “what do you want?” I had to say hi to her first. She also glanced at me the whole time. I came to pay for my coffee I didn’t ask her for a free one, I wasn’t rude to her so I’m not sure what is her problem?! I don’t want her to get fired, I won’t tell her name but the company should hire someone better to work in customer service job! Plus I had a crying baby with me and already were stressed, being treated by this staff made my day...
Read moreI visited The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf today and ordered an iced mocha. The barista asked if I wanted ‘regular milk,’ and I said yes, assuming that meant whole milk. However, I saw her preparing my drink with fat-free milk. When I pointed out the mistake and clarified I wanted whole milk, she told me their ‘regular milk’ is fat-free milk and implied it was my fault for not knowing.
I find this extremely frustrating—most people would assume ‘regular milk’ refers to whole milk, not fat-free. The attitude of blaming the customer for this misunderstanding is unacceptable. If your definition of ‘regular milk’ is different from common expectations, it should be clearly communicated. I left the store upset and disappointed. Please do better in clarifying options and treating customers...
