The biggest issue with fast food since covid is the failure of many chains to train their employees on basic customer service standards--Wendy's being one of the worst examples.
Today when I ordered the bill showed up at $23 on the outside menu, which was astounding. The employee never read the order back, at the speaker or at the window. At the window it went up to over $26 after tax. I acted shocked at the price, yet the inept, untrained employee made no attempt to read the order back or ask if something was wrong. I let it go, thinking I must have been charged for the large chicken sandwiches and not the cheaper ones, but as it turns out, I was charged not only for the large chili side I asked for-INSTEAD OF FRIES, but she also upsized the original large fry I didn't want, and upsized my tea to a large, which she didnt ask or repeat back. Compound that with the sudden 60.4% price increase on crispy chicken sandwiches and my $17 meal became nearly $27. To exacerbate it further, when I sat there and put my car in park, the employee ignored me, and a manager had to come ask if something was wrong. Way to lose a customer 👌
Furthermore, the new cajun chicken sandwich, while larger than the flimsy child-sized sandwiches over the past few years is still worthless when it is as dry a damp sandpaper. I keep giving Wendy's a chance here and there, and they keep proving they don't like having customers....

Idk what it is with some folks, like I know we all be going through it...but I never had someone roll their eyes at me so many times when I'm not even speaking or nothing. Check your girl in the window, I don't think she's okay.
Also for whatever reason they like drowned my burger in mayo. Bruh if you got a problem with people don't work with them, tbh it's disappointing cause I don't even really like mayo but a small reasonable amount is fine.
It don't hurt or cost anyone to treat people with some basic common decency. That was sad...and for what? was honestly weird vibes...like as a Native person it's already hard enough living in the city, but the disrespect from people is astounding and unnecessary. Idk who they have hired but if you also wanna be given rudeness and attitude for even having the audacity to go through the drive through, they're is a lovely lady who will give you all the attitude you need on your lunch:. a few characters in there that do know basic customer service. because there seems to be so many bad apples employed at this location i also think it should shut down again and reopen with a more promising staff. you cant be angry at customers AND still get their order wrong. pick a struggle pls. UPDATE: tried coming again because hey maybe new staff yk, and uhh i asked for spicy nuggets, got regular, when i mentioned it was wrong they said "sorry about that here you go!" and came with other nuggets:] it was still regular nuggets:].
