Disappointed. Bad food, pricey for no reason. I really didn't want to leave this review but after having tummy pain all night from eating here, I had to. Food was horrible! Spent $100 and feel like everything was gross. I have no idea how they're still open bc every time I go in here for the past few years, it's empty. Ordered jalapeño poppers, they were ok but you can tell they were store bought and frozen. Ordered another order of jalapeños and was given fried mac and cheese. Wasn't in the mood to complain so left it alone. Margarita was pretty much sugar water even on happy hour, it wasn't cheap, but definitely cheap quality. Chicken quesadilla was so small, dry and flavorless, I think it was just Chicken and tortilla and was around $11. Ordered pollo de crema de coco, the portions of the chicken and sauce were laughable! Probably an 8th of a chicken breast and almost no sauce. The food had a horrible burnt taste. Rice and beans were gross. It was around $20. The lettuce and limes they garnished with looked old and discolored. The guacamole looked discolored and oxidized like it was old. I keep trying to support this business bc I initially enjoyed it 5 years ago, but last night was the worst to pay $100 for food and everything be gross. I'm not sure if Mexicans are even cooking, but the food does not seem like it. Get Mexicans to work in this 'Mexican' establishment and watch it...
Read moreOn our first visit I ordered the Carne Asada which was excellent. It was juicy and wonderfully seasoned and flavorful. Today I ordered the blackened sea cod tacos. The fish itself was nicely done and tasty. However, on the menu it listed for this entree, it was to include queso fresco and an avocado aioli. When the server came to ask about how we enjoyed the meal, I questioned her about these ingredients since I could not really see or taste them. She replied that those ingredients are placed first on the tortilla and then the veggies are added and finished with the fish on top. The presentation is visually pleasing but there seemed to be so little of the sauce and cheese to compliment the flavor of the other ingredients that I felt it lacked the really good flavor you expect from a fish taco and left them kind of dry. My husband's burrito had a wonderful green enchilada sauce...so I believe most of their other offerings are great although I was a bit disappointed with my...
Read moreWe had dinner on Friday night. It wasn't to busy and we were promptly served up chips and salsa. The salsa had a slight sweet taste to it and was absolutely delicious. I had the shrimp mojo de aho with rice and beans. The shrimp was served with sautéed onions and mushrooms. The dinner was only luke warm. The guacamole and sour cream were very skimpy. Literally about a teaspoon of each. The dinner was just good, but not great. My wife had Arturo's burrito. Her meat selection was ground beef. It was loaded with meat, rice, beans, lettuce and cheese. It was hot and delicious. It was huge, probably 5 pounds and we took half of it home. Each dinner was around $20. The server was also the bartender and cashier for orders to go, so the service was...
