Cutter's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Detroit

My husband and I would meet at Cutters for lunch and would have a decent experience. Last night, we decided to kill time and get food before our reservation at another spot. We found a table, but weren’t greeted for at least 20 min I kid you not. We noticed someone who we suspected to be the owner sitting at the with an expensive bottle of tequila- while we sat with our waters. Anyway,we ordered quickly bc we could tell it was gonna be one of those nights where you don’t get the best service- it was packed but not beyond control. When our food arrived after another 30+min-it was disheartening bc 1)My husband received cold ❄️ chicken and hot fries. 2) My shrimp were not good; I wish I didn’t order them I could’ve made better ones at home. They still had dirt in them and the tail was in some. 😖 3) We were missing the bread and condiments; when my husband went to ask for them a woman of short stature and light complexion passed the buck to other waiters instead of just giving him the 2 items. Thankfully the server did take the cold chicken and hot fries off the bill, but she just hung around our table as my husband was paying, which is ironic bc during our time we hardly recieved any service. This place has the best burgers in Detroit, hands down. And I know there are a ton of different food spots in the city so that says a lot. My burger was huge, and cooked perfectly. It was tender but not tooooo tender, and was seasoned with the best seasonings. The fries and onion rings are obviously hand done, and again they were done perfectly as well! The waitress was super sweet, and very knowledgeable about different foods. I wish I would have gotten her name because I would love to let management know that they have a perfect server! If you worked the night of wed March 2nd, I'm talking about you, and you were amazing. The atmosphere is very laid back and welcoming, at least it was when I was there, but with how great their food and drinks are I'm sure it gets crowded. I ordered a drink called the haynes her way, and it was one of the best I've had. I normally don't like vodka but they use grey goose, so I couldn't pass that up. Another review mentioned the area, I'm not sure what they meant because the area is an average city street. Pretty standard to any large city. There was only one girl working, but I never ever felt forgotten about and she even came to the table to let us know it may take longer than usual. Heard so many good things about Cutters and was extremely disappointed. Very underwhelming. No need to ever return. The waitress was nice nasty. Moving to fast, never gave us her name, appeared irritated with our requests…she was to busy talking to her friends at another table. I had to call her over a couple times.

The food was horrible. Two of us were served cold wings. When we asked for new ones she said they were being friend to order. Absolutely no way. Cold to the touch. I requested replacement of catfish bites n fries. The fish was greasy as it left standing grease on my plate, the fries were cold and tasted of old grease. The fish was pretty good but the standing flour you see on a few pieces in pics gives old or over battered either way; I didn’t eat them or the fries. Paid for food I didn’t even eat. Also the drinks were not good. Too strong and not in an appetizing way.
