Last night, I had an extremely unpleasant experience at TAP MGM. My cousin and I approached the host booth to secure a table. We were informed that there would be a 45-minute wait, which we did not object to as we were waiting for another person to arrive. I asked if we could wait at the bar, and he assured me that it would not be an issue. We proceeded to the bar, I informed the bartender that we were waiting for our reservation and would order drinks, and she brought us our beverages. She then asked if we wanted to place orders for food, and we ordered two appetizers. Prior to the arrival of our appetizers, I received a text message indicating that our table was ready. I requested that our appetizers be delivered to the table. Once seated, our food arrived shortly after. Immediately after the food was placed on our table, the manager “Kelley” approached us with a slight attitude and asked if we would be ordering more food. We informed her that we were, that we were waiting for another person to arrive. She proceeded to state that we could not sit at the table because we had already ordered food at the bar. I told her that I had settled the tab and that we were only at the bar to wait for a table. She adamantly refused to allow us to sit at the table and insisted that we returned the bar. She then took our food and walked it to the bar this caused the entire restaurant to stare at us being removed from the table we had a reservation for. That action alone was very demeaning and humiliating! After a brief exchange, I informed her that we intended to leave and requested a refund. However, she refused to provide a refund, and she went and got carryout containers instead. She went on to contacted security and reported that we were being “aggressive and irate” and needed to leave. She proceeded to engage in conversation with other staff members, laughing about the situation. We waited at the host booth for security to arrive. When they finally did, they were unable to locate us because no one in our party was exhibiting any signs of aggression or hostility, as she had implied over the phone. I had requested to speak with upper management before any escalation occurred, but she informed me that there was none. When security was able to contact upper management, they did not rectify the issue and stated that we needed to file a formal complaint. After leaving TAP we went to D Prime and had an excellent experience. They exemplify professionalism, service was phenomenal, and the food was even better. Read moreA friend and I visited to grab something to eat and were greeted by a lovely hostess, Cassandra, when she brought us into the restaurant and tried to seat us a server, Hailey, immediately raised her voice at her and aggressively demanded that we go somewhere else because she was “busy” and did not want us to sit there…the restaurant was mostly empty and also closing soon so that made no sense. She made us so uncomfortable and that to me was not only rude but also unprofessional. We almost left because i refuse to eat somewhere I’m not wanted. Luckily Raymona was there to make the experience way better. She was so kind, knew the menu, friendly and was attentive. I’m thankful for people like her and Cassandra. We also noticed once we were sat Hailey literally was doing nothing, and chatting to other guest. I don’t know the reason behind her extremely rude behavior but I’d much rather be seated in Raymond’s section and make sure we take care of her very well. I work in the service industry and would never treat someone that way. Tell Hailey check her bias before applying for waitresses jobs, you will deal with all types of people that don’t look like you, and you never know the connections they may have. I’m not anticipating another visit but if so I will gladly request Raymona over and over.

Read moreIf I could give negative reviews I would. The young ladies at the entrance were ridiculous Tap closes at 1 We walked up at 11:11 and were turned away. We were told that they were “fully committed “ and we could t even sit at the bar. Fast forward 5 seconds….(we are a party of 4) 3 gentlemen walked in and were granted access. Of course I asked for the manager. Jordan was the manager and was just as off putting. He eventually apologized but I believe it was more so to pacify us. I can’t tell You how the food was because no one took our order. We have been at the bar for 10 minutes and no one has asked what we want to drink. If this is the customer service offered at Tap, I am definitely NOT interested. The young ladies at the hostess desk were the absolute worse. After talking to the manager…who ”allowed” us to sit at the bar….i asked the hostesses Shalante and Chaunte why they let the gentlemen in and not us, mind you we hadn’t move because we coming up with another plan. Chaunte told me she wasn’t going to run after us to seat us. Really??? We were still at the hostess desk. The audacity of such horrible customer service is extremely off putting. I will NEVER return. I will tell all my friends to not patronize them. In 2025 this is so unacceptable. Tap, if Jordan, Chaunte and Shalante are the face of Tap….then Goodnight Gracie!!! Never...
