I came in for an 8:30am appointment to get a first-time passport. Some of the negative reviews kind of worried me. I drove three hours in hopes to get my passport on the same day. I walked in to the building at 8am on the nose. Security was professional and courteous. I went to the third floor and to make a long story short, I was at the parking garage, in my car, by 8:20am. Claudia was such a blessing at the passport agency. She was prompt and very nice. These are the people that other federal employees give bad raps. Extremely pleasant, calming my anxiety. Claudia said I can come back at 2:30 for a 3pm appointment to receive my passport. I prayed for an experience like this and God answered. This nice place is a federal building and fully equipped with security. If you want to come here please make sure to leave sharp objects at home or in your car. There are many metered parking around the building or daily paid parking on Cass. Parking is a bit tricky especially for disabled people but the side street and access to the building is friendly accessible ♿. Building is also provide wheel chairs if they need one.
