First time I ever experienced their food was today when a friend and co-worker of mine offered me a deal. "I'll buy breakfast if you order." As he was afraid of talking to strangers over the phone. So I took his order (scrambled eggs with american cheese, hash browns, bacon, and toast) and called this place up with the intention of getting the same thing as he was. As the phone was ringing, my friend turned around and told me SPECIFICALLY, "Tell them to make it with love!" I kinda thought that was weird but oh well. So the lady in charge of the phone at the time answered and I gave her the order. When I was complete with listing off the food we desired, I then asked, "and could you please make that with love?" The response was a scoff and a very attitudinal "What?" So I repeated myself. "Can you PLEASE make the food with love?" "Yeah yeah sure whatever. You're total is $15.76." So our food gets here and I race to elevator in excitement as if it were Christmas. I remember thinking "Oh my god breakfast is here! It's been 24 hours since I've had you!" I reach floor one and grab our order and race back the elevator to go back to the third floor (yes I take the elevator to the third floor but it was not busy at this time so nobody was inconvenienced. Deal with it). We start chowing down the food and about half way finished, we stop and think. My friend says "Ya know what? This really ain't all that great." I had to agree with him. My taste buds were more like taste-acquaintances at the moment and I couldn't figure out why. Nonetheless, we finish the food because we're guys and will eat anything when hungry. As I was then disposing of the styrofoam apparatus that once contained my food, it dawned on me....I raced back to my desk to inform my friend of the epiphany I had at the garbage can. I wheeled around the corner and said in a rather loud voice, "They forgot the love!" My friend looked at me quizzically. "What?" He replied. "THEY DID NOT MAKE OUR FOOD WITH LOVE!" Boom. It him then. Lesson learned: Always make sure you emphasize that they make it with love or you'll be eating eggs with daddy issues (good joke if you look into it) and an overall...
Read moreI order the same woodward skillet EVERYTIME through ritual since 2019. I also leave a note asking for specifics. “NO EGGS, GRAPE JELLY ONLY. ONIONS AND GREEN PEPPERS COOKED WITH CRISPY HASHBROWNS.” When I checked my order before I left the restaurant(which I’m glad I did I noticed they gave me eggs and mixed jelly). They did not read the note nor did they follow it. When I told them my order was wrong and wasn’t supposed to have eggs… they proceeded to remove the eggs off the the skillet. I Had to request a completely new skillet because I had to explain to the cooks that eggs make me nauseous. I was handed the bag and I asked if I was given grape jelly and he had to take the bag back and give me the correct flavor of jelly which was GRAPE. I also noticed that my onions and green peppers were not cooked crispy like I asked. I would also like to know if cheese is on top of my skillet why is it okay to throw my toast in the container on top of it??? It’s not. I didn’t ask for “cheese” toast. It should be wrapped in aluminum foil and placed outside the container like they used to do when I started ordering this skillet in 2019. I can tell Mike (The owner) was not in today because he would’ve paid attention to every detail of my order. I did not have the time for them to make the order a third time but If I did, I most certainly would because they rarely ever get my order correct even though I have the same instructions EVERYTIME and I’ve been ordering this since 2019. This was disappointing early in...
Read moreBefore I go further, the food was good but i gave this place a 2 star rating for the following reason:
Today I ordered carryout and picked items based on posted online menu (on google directly) for this restaurant. Expecting to pay $8 total (including tax) for my meal, i ended up paying $12. The reason why and i quote a staff member, "Sorry Sir, that is not our menu or prices. The previous owner somehow locked the online menu which has prevented the current owner from accessing it and making changes to prices." I paid and left because I realized that this is not the staff member's fault.
I am trying to understand why the new owner cannot reach out to Google to pull the menu offline completely for now even if they cannot change prices for specific menu items. That way it prevents the staff from having to justify the falsely represented prices. It is not fair to put your staff in this position.
To those who want to eat here, DO NOT use the online menu. I would recommend going there in person to place a carry out order or just to dine in until this is remedied...
