9/21/25: Just an update review. Got the Belgian Waffle w/fruit and the Enchilada omelette, as well as a Lafayette Lemonade(vodka + lemonade). The waffle is still great as ever; just the right texture and softness, but I wasn't too fond of the omelette. The omelette felt kinda tasteless inside; it was really the sauces that made it taste like anything. I was kinda disappointed, but maybe it just wasn't for me =0v. The accessories(toast, potatoes) were really good, no complaints there. I was not as wow'd by the l.lemonade as the last time(my alcoholic tastes are more refined then in the review 2 years ago), but it was still a solid drink to go with the meal.
Service was great as usual; friendly and attentive, despite being busy. 5*.
I'll still return, as the general quality of the food and service still seems to be great, even if the omelette was a dud this time. 5* for the waffle, 3.5* for the omelette.(I'll still keep overall review 5*)
Review 2 years ago: Stopped here early morning just before they opened at 8AM on a Sunday a couple weeks ago. There was a line waiting at the door, but fortunately(or unfortunately😔) , I was by myself, so I was able to get a bar seat. It was pretty busy from the get-go; the place was packed in minutes.
Place is super clean, organized, and updated. Their grill is out in the open, so I could see how the staff handled food and such, which I appreciate. I saw 0 problems in the handling of the food and sanitary practices, so that's a plus. Seating was as comfortable as a standard barseat can get, but spacing was a bit tight for a meal. Not a complaint, since should just be drinks at a bar seat, but they make the space work, so that's a plus to me.
Ordered the Belgian waffle w/fruit, french toast w/fruit, and a bacon, eggs, and hash combo(though this was not a set on the menu), with a lafayatte lemonade. Most items were superb; bacon fully crisp(no chewy fat parts), eggs moist; hash had a kind of zest to them. It was real good. Waffle was delish as well; just the right balance of crisp, slightly sweet, and fluffy interior. The pure maple syrup here is real good(I always bring mine just in case, so its nice when I can save mine =03). The drink was great as well; it had a good balance of alcohol and sweetness w/o being too much in either direction. The french toast was good, but didn't hit my palette the way the waffle did. Honestly, trying so many french toasts in so many different places, I think it just isn't for me. It still had a great flavor profile nonetheless.
I took a chicken sandwich and fries to go, and ended up giving them to my brother sadly, so I couldn't taste it myself. However, he said the sandwich was great, and the fries REALLY good.
Server was the bartender(receipt says Maria). I tried to engage in small talk, but it was pretty busy, so I couldn't bother her too much. However, she was overall friendly, tried to converse where she could, and made sure I was satisfied at certain intervals.
All in all, a great experience and shall...

The culinary experience was NOT GOOD for me. I ordered the corned beef hash with over-medium fried eggs and had to send it back three times because the eggs were not properly cooked. The whites were raw and gelatinous reminiscent of the texture of snot or mucus. I specifically asked for the white to be completely set while the yolk remained runny. The dish returned with mucus-like whites another time, and the third time, the eggs were as overcooked. I suspect that they just microwaved or warmed the same eggs. I was okay with that, except my eggs were still wrong. When the dish arrived, again, I just settled for what I got, only to take the first bite and find that the carrots and brussels sprouts in the hash were both raw. The hash was cold. I gave up. I sent the dish back and asked if I could order something else.
I ordered the duck hash, over-medium fried eggs. I reasoned that it would be hard to send out raw spinach, and even if it was raw, it would easily meld into the hash. But I did not expect that the potatoes would be fried so hard that they crunched and challenged my molars. The dish was syrupy sweet, which was unexpected as well. The eggs? I settled that this was as close as the cooks could get to over-medium, so I just ate around the mucus pockets. I wasn't able to finish the dish - it was a healthy portion.
I'm pretty certain that I won't ever order a hash here again, nor will I order any dish with over-medium fried eggs. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day - the more creative and savory, the better. This was not the best culinary experience for me... and I really wanted to enjoy this spot. The reviews are really good. Maybe their omelets are a better choice if you like your eggs cooked in this fashion.
Overall, it is...

Amazing food, Good vegetarian options (more like eggiterian for breakfast). Weekend street parking is free.
Sunday morning Mother's Day breakfast. The place was Super busy. When we went there were at-least 20 ppl waiting. Luckily we were only 3, so we sat almost immediately. . The wait area is comfortable it's the lobby of that building with ample seating.
The staff is super friendly and nice. Starting at the front door, the hostess. Who was helping ppl pleasantly even during this busy morning.
So the food:
The days special - cheese cake and strawberry waffle. - Wow!! Delicious but it's a sin, at least 1 million calories. Lol. It was delicious. I never imagined that combination. But surprisingly superb. We all loved it.
Veggie hash - very good, A bed of crispy cubed potato hash with some sauté veggies, amazing seasoning, topped with two eggs. And a side of biscuit. Perfect dish. Just how I like it. The biscuit was little dry through!
Veggie omelet - awesome. Something special about the way they cook the cheese or the type of cheese. Makes the omelette super yummy. Again served with hash and toast.
They serve zingerman coffee- I was not a huge fan. But i was ok. They replaced it for a capachino for my wife.
They ambience is trendy downtownish. I liked the roman style sketches in the wall and the rustic industrial recycled style furnitures.
Basically we loved the place. We will...
