Yesterday was my 1st ever visit to a Chipotle. The employees where all very nice we where greeted as soon as we walked in my a young guy whom I have forgotten his name but I do know it was his 1st day and he was extremely polite so I guess so far he likes his job .. Now for the negatives! The Dining area was flighty..ever table!! The booth like bench that goes along wall that have a table in front with 2 chairs had food all over them and the floors where even worst broken tortilla chips corn rice to shredded cheese what ever came in whatever you ordered excluding cups where on the floor and this was almost at 3 to 4pm .. The dining area was completely empty and besides myself and my Adult Son there was just one guy after us who ordered his to go .. I had to go ask an employee if she kindly could clean off the seating area where we wanted to sit after she did and we looked down where our feet would be that was even worst so she cleaned another table .. the floor wasn't particularly as dirty under the long tables they have .. There's no excuse for that dining area to have been so gross most places have a person assigned to keep dining area clean if it where lunch time and it was packed it's understandable but at that time each employee was just behind the food counter one of them should have cleaned up! Lastly temp outside was about 38 to 40 degrees and inside Chipotle it was even colder like being in the AC on a summers day which also turned our food cold because we aren't people who shovel their food into their mouth .. Again though I will say all the employees all very young where very polite .. pls keep your place of employment clean so Chipotle won't be shut down again for retraining their employees for proper preparation of food and the flitghyness of the restaurant .. My wife was just talking to my son and asked if he wanted a quesadilla and a guy sitting and eating out of nowhere said, "its only an online promo" I asked him if he was the store manager and he stated yes. I explained to him we ordered quesadilla the other day at the rockaway nj store and he said, "no we dont do that, we only have 1 press" We were the only customers in the store at that moment. Meanwhile, the woman making our burrito couldn't even roll it and then called for someone to come help her, the glass prep station was all dirty and the food trays were not even topped off. It looked sloppy, dirty and left over from night before. As a store manager myself of a big box retailer, the store manager displayed poor customer experience skills and provided a uncomfortable dirty environment for a loyal Chipotle customer. His concern should have been having his store up to standard and not add himself into someone else's conversation while eating lunch at 11:15 while the store just opened at 10:45. If we did try to order an item that was online promo only but available in others stores then he should accommodate Chipotle's customers. I would hope his district or/regional manager sees this and has a talk with him....

Even though there's an option to order veggies on the quesadilla as well. I didn't even have the energy to ask why this man was giving me such a hard time. It was such a terrible experience. Then to top it off. He gave me nothing but problems and push back from the moment I entered the location and ranting about policies (which I'm still confused about) only to turn around and sell an adult a kids meal 🤔.
