I had my son’s first birthday party at Chuck E Cheese today. I had 3 separate parties at the same location for all of my children. Normally I have a pleasant and accommodating experience this time in particular I had one of the worst customer experiences ever. The host came up to me and began with attitude re-taking the order I already placed on Wednesday when I stopped in to drop off decorations. I handled her with grace because this was my son’s special day. She then put in my order. My guests began to arrive and I did not see my host. I went to place an additional order for the 15 adults I was hosting at the party. We returned to the party area and I went to the kitchen to pick up the food for my adult guests. I asked about the order for the children and she said it was coming up. I heard the announcement for food on the loud speaker so I gathered the additional children who were not at the table. When I returned to the table the host served three pieces of pizza and then walked away. I then asked the rest of the kids what they wanted to eat as one of my other guests helped with the remaining food service. I went in the kitchen to grab the large order of wings and an additional BBQ chicken pie and saw the manager and hosts bringing out Dippin Dots while the pizza and food was still being served. That was at 3:30 my party started at 3 to 5. I was then told that everything is on a time limit and the ice cream cannot be served with the cake and cupcakes. Again I handled them with grace. The children went and enjoyed the festivities. I walked back to see another child in the ticket blaster. I then asked an associate to please grab my host so we could go next. The host arrived and my sister asked if she was having a bad day just because of her demeanor and poor customer service. She then said that she has had a problem all day with our party and that she was sick of “You People” telling her what to do. I then asked if I could speak to her manager. While she proceeded to argue with my sister and other guests. The manager approached and was immediately on the defense. Before I even said a few words she stated that she was the BEST HOST she had…We exchanged words and she dismissed every claim against the host. I then asked for her card and she told me that she ran the place. My cake was never cut and the host never returned for the remainder of the party. The manager gave me the bill and we gave the rude host a $30 tip. Horrible...
Read moreA Two-Hour Drive Turned Disappointment
My recent visit to Chuck E. Cheese in Dickson City, Pennsylvania, was meant to be a nostalgic journey, driving two hours to see the last remaining animatronic show. What transpired, however, left a sour taste in my mouth.
Excitement Turns to Discontent: My older brother (aged 19) and I (aged 16) embarked on a two-hour drive to experience the last remaining Chuck E. Cheese animatronic. Warm Nostalgia, Cold Reception: Upon arrival, we were greeted with waves of nostalgia, especially at the sight of the animatronic on the stage. Pizza Pleasures and Unpleasant Encounters: Ordered pizza and sat at a long table near a recently concluded birthday party, where the leftover mess remained unattended for over 20 minutes. A rude employee, a shorter girl with her hair in a braid, scolded us for sitting there, forcing us to move to an uncomfortable two-person booth. Insults and Embarrassment: While eating, the same employee scolded us again for being at the booth, causing discomfort and embarrassment. My older brother, feeling wrongly accused, decided to leave the restaurant. The Unsettling Bathroom Break: I needed to use the bathroom, and during this time, my older brother went out to the car. A Denied Exit: Attempting to leave alone, an employee insisted I couldn’t exit without my brother. Despite acknowledging we arrived together, the employee found amusement in refusing to let me leave. Adding Insult to Injury: The ordeal continued as my brother had to return from the car just so I could leave, adding further insult to an already unpleasant experience.
This review aims to shed light on the unprofessional conduct of the staff, highlighting the decline in customer service. Our two-hour journey turned into a regrettable endeavor, and I hope sharing this experience prompts necessary improvements for future visitors.
Please note That the picture of me smiling with Chuck E. Cheese was taken before any of the incident...
Read moreI went to the store after the remodel, and I was very dissatisfied. I went with my friend and this was everything I hated.
1: The animatronic
They completely removed it, and it is such a shame because that character created so many memories for me and my friend. In its place, there’s a giant TV and a dance floor. It’s very boring compared to the animatronic and there were no kids interacting with the dance floor.
2: Lack of games
I noticed there were way less games compared to how it was before. There’s literally a giant gap of nothingness between two of the games. A lot of the older games got removed and replaced them with new ones that weren’t as fun as the other ones.
3: The atmosphere
It’s just so bland. The purple walls and colorful art of the characters were replaced with white walls and art that was way less detailed and fun. The art literally looks like it was slapped together in Microsoft paint and ducktape. There was also barely anyone there.
4: The employees
They were kinda rude and didn’t even seem like they wanted to be there. Just on there phones the whole time.
5: the prices
Very expensive.
It’s such a shame because this character and his restaurant meant a lot to me. This place that was once filled with joy and laughter is now replaced by a slowly dying establishment that is trying so hard to fit in with all the other modern arcades. I will not be visiting this place...
