This place is a joke masquerading as a Mexican restaurant.
Atmosphere: Still reeking of its former life as a salon, they couldn't even be bothered to take down the "hair extensions" signs by the bathroom door.
Service: Forgettable, just like the food.
Food: Tortilla soup: Lukewarm and forgettable. Surf & Turf Burrito: Disgusting ground beef posing as carne asada, flavorless burrito, and mediocre shrimp for a whopping $22. Cocaine Tacos: Grocery store taquitos over cabbage with minimal toppings, served cold for $16. Carne asada fries: Frozen section grocery store fries, more of the mutant "carne asada," and undercooked bacon slapped on top whole (they couldnāt even be bothered to cut it) for a hefty $20.
And don't even get me started on their nickel-and-diming tactics: $5 sodas with no refills, $2 surcharge for splitting a check, and rationed chips and salsa refills. Save your money and your taste buds; this place is a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOMG where do i start. Another reviewer said best mexican food in Colorado. I have to agree!!! Everything was good. Clean classy place with great service.
Some of the best chips and salsa to start (many worst places charge for that). I think they use their house made tortillas and fry them into chips.
Chicken tacos were superb. Nicely grilled chicken, clean. And built into a olate of 4 street tacos. With a green mild sauce and a spicy red sauce on the side. Didnt get a chance to snap a pic. Superb!
The viagra soup was huge. $22 but they gove you your moneyās worth. 4 huge shrimps as big as my thumb that were fresh (sweet and crisp). A little spice kick to the soup. Plenty of mussels, clams, squid, etc.
My son hd the carne asada on fries. It was more like carne asada nachos but swap the chips for fries. It looked like there was too much sauce. But in fact tastes great!
Will be back for lunch to litmus taste test their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe decided to get a take out from Lily's Bistro because our baby had cold and we wanted to stay in. We felt quite disappointed with the quantity and quality of the food. Seemed very experimental and out of flavor. The breads (tortillas/ Burrito etc) tasted a day old. The appetizer was good. We had the Lava Lava Shrimp which is crispy spiced shrimp over a bed of romaine and topped with lava lava sauce for $12. For main course we had Small Anaconda Burrito which has carne asada, pastor, caramelized onion, rice, beans, guac, lava lava sauce and spiced tomato sauce for $16, the guacamole was good, rest not so much. Our 2nd main course was Shrimp Tacos which is buttermilk fried shrimp, red cabbage, pico, lava lava sauce and lime wedge for $14. Again Shrimp tasted very good but the rest didn't. I know it's a small business and I am all for supporting small businesses but I will not want to go back...
