It was our first time at Beirut Doral, and it was a great experience! For starters, the decor is beautiful, and elegant. I really appreciated all the thought they put into it, and all the photo opportunities you have, which was intentional 😉. Even the serveware is unique to the aesthetics ✨️ Roger, our server, made us feel welcome since inception. He was very attentive all throughout our early Saturday dinner, without being overbearing. His knowledge of the menu and recommendations were on-point. And, oh, the food.....it was beautifully presented and very authentic. We wanted to try Lebanese food and we were blown away! The appetizers were a nice start to what was to come. We had the Kibbeh grass, which is like a papa rellena, but better! It had a nice crunch, was full of ground beef and the spices were perfect. The Muhammara is a delicious hummus dip, which awakens your tastebuds, and makes you excited for what's next! The Kafka mini burgers were juicy, and tasteful. What I appreciate about the food at Beirut Doral, is that you don't need to add additional condiments to make the food edible, as each plate is perfectly seasoned and tastes great. The natural juice drinks are a good size, and are truly natural. We had the pineapple, melon, watermelon and lemonade. Our entrees were the picanha steak, the Beirut Deluxe, the Lahim Meshwi and the Shawarma chicken sandwich. All the meat was tender, juicy and well-seasoned, and the sides were paired perfectly with each dish. My favorite part...the desserts.... we had the Ghazi Al Banat, which is a ball of sweet cotton candy, but very different looking, paired with nutty ice cream. My family and I all agreed that this was the STAR 🌟 of the show! We also tried the Knafeh, which has sweet cheese, and crispy phyllo pastry, soaked in sugar syrup. The syrup was a bit overwhelming, and had an unfamiliar after taste, so we preferred the cotton candy better 😘The prices are comparable to other restaurants, where you get the same old basic food, so Beirut Doral is definitely worth trying! My family and I were extremely satisfied to have dined here, as it does not disappoint! The Aguilera Connoisseurs de la Gastronomie (which is what we call ourselves), will DEFINITELY BE BACK! Thank you for making our dining experience unique, flavorful, and worth...
Read moreThis restaurant has a very Lebanon Chíc esthetic. Bathrooms are a bit dated but the over all design of the restaurant especially the outdoor seating, really sets the tone for restaurant. As for the service our server Melissa was very pleasant and personable and enjoyed answering our questions but was not very clear on the add ons that snuck up later on our bill. The food unfortunately was not it for me. Personally the vegetarian platter as tasty as it was, is not worth twenty seven dollars, the mixed shawarma wrap was not worth the twenty dollars. The meat inside the shawarma was dry and overcooked and the tabbouli which I thought came included in the wrap was actually extra and charged Separately and was not fresh. However the rose water lemonade was absolutely refreshing. The real disappointment came with the Kanafe it was literally an arepa with cheese cut into a square drenched in sugar syrup. Anyone who knows middle eastern and Mediterranean cuisine knows that you can judge if a restaurant is genuinely good by their Kanafe and this was not it. We also tried the baklava and it was practically frozen not fresh. Food was overpriced and not on par with the mid quality that was served. Would highly recommend "The Halal Bros" and "Sufrat" for high quality Middle Eastern comfort food for great price. If you truly desire a middle eastern Michelin star dining experience that won't break the bank I would greatly recommend "El Turco" in little Haiti. I expected an amazing fusion of Venezuelan and Lebanese cuisine from Beirut but left farely disappointed. I also thought it was in poor taste that the owner or manager was filming an Instagram video amongst his patrons. Instagram posts will not make up for the lackluster cuisine of this establishment. You can do better and for the sake of your Middle Eastern patrons please do. That Kanafe was an insult to my Turkish...
Read moreNot your typical Lebanese restaurant! I wandered in with my friend on a Thursday afternoon and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff and incredible aroma of the middle east. The restaurant has a patio with a great lake view that it is very pleasant and perfect for a relaxing dinner.
To start the feast we ordered the Beirut Deluxe ( Fried Kibbie, falafel, Cabbage leaves, Grape leaves, hummus, baba ghanoui, muhammara, tabouli and pita bread.
This platter is a bomb of goodness, kibbie and falafel was fried to perfection, the grape leaves and the cabbage leaves was super tasty and packed with flavor and aroma. Them we ordered the Kibbie Nayeh grounded raww meat) I was skeptical but after the first bite, I fell in love with it, When our main course arrived, our expectations continued to be surpassed. My friend ordered the lahim meshwi (beef skewer and lentil rice topped with caramelized onions ) it was very good perfectly cooked but the rice with lentils OMG it was full of flavor it worked perfectly with the beef.
I ordered Shish tawok (Boneless chicken skewer and Arabic rice) it was the perfect storm, the chicken was perfectly cooked but again... the Arabic rice... (I could go back and order just rice, it was that good) Both of our main courses were packed with flavor the sides and the skewers worked very well together.
PS: ask for the Lebanese lemonade made with rose water...Whaaaat I have a crush on this beverage!
I'll be visiting Beirut Doral again, it is a Must if you are craving...
