So my boyfriend has been wanting to bring me here and mentioning it since he walked in and thought it would be perfect. We came in and the place is absolutely gorgeous. It is a girls DREAM. Everything is pink, cute, and flowery. Impeccable atmosphere.
From there, everything went downhill. The tables are small and can barely fit anything on them. We asked for a different table but they said it was too busy. Whatever, it’s such a cute place, who cares right?
But then, the topic of the food. A lemonade is $11 and half of it is a frozen popsicle in it. The cappuccinos, on the other hand, are super yummy and worth their $6 price tags.
While looking at the menu, there’s a lot of different things to try. We decided to go with the charcuterie board. For $25 you get two little piles of cubed cheese straight from a package, a small slice of Brie, and a small bit of pepperoni/salami/ham. No jams, tiny morsel of fruit, and no crackers or bread. We have spent less, and more, on charcuteries and this one was by far the most disappointing thing we have ever received. After looking at the entrees around us (which look gorgeous) we realized most people left most of their dishes barely touched.
To top it all off, the service was awful. No one seemed very interested in being there. The waitress was disinterested and seemed very confused at us asking for some type of bread or crackers for our board (which we then paid for.) We chalked it up to it being a busy day until we saw the gratuity was already added to the bill and realized that was probably manifesting in not caring too much. Again, we have no issue with gratuity being added and most times it’s preferable. But that’s when the waitstaff is stimulated to give a good experience. This was not that.
We agreed this was at best a coffee shop where you grab a little dessert maybe. Masquerading it as a restaurant just leaves alot to be desired. The prices are steep with little to no quality of food, the service is bad, but the place is very pretty. Bring your girlfriend here for a coffee and a slice of cake but not as an actual...
Read moreI’ve been going to Keik since they opened a few years back, the Gables and Doral locations are my favs. I’ve celebrated special. Events there, ordered cakes for birthdays, have brunch there once a month. Order for my office every other week. But yesterday the service at the Doral location was horrible. It all started as soon as we walked in There host at the door is usually very welcoming and nice and greets people. This girl was just standing there she said nothing. Then I told her table for two please. She sat us down immediately. So thankfully there was no wait. When we sat down the waiter was not friendly at all he definitely had an attitude from the start. I don’t know why. He then came back to take out orders. My friend and I both got salads But she was only one that was asked if she wanted extra protein. When it was my turn to order I asked for extra protein and he asked me if I was sure I wanted it. Respectfully that is not his business. Whenever he would refill our water cups he kept slamming them at our table. When the food finally got to us some lady served it and she didn’t say anything just slams the food at the table too. I’m not one to complain ever. But when I do is for fair reasons. The staff that was working last weekend are people I’ve never seen before. But they were not friendly at all. People usually check up on us, have a small talk, are always smiling and just have a nice vibe to them. That’s not what happened on Saturday. Towards the end we ordered a cake to split and we were chatting and talking. The waiter comes to us basically rushing us if we were going to take the left over cake to go. I took it as a sign so I asked for the check. I paid and we left as we were heading out the hosts again didn’t say anything to us They always say bye have a good day thanks for coming. Idk the whole vibe of that day was completely off. . I hope next time I go it’s as friendly and pleasant as the other times before. If not I will...
Read moreCame here for the 1st time with my mom & sister for lunch. The parking here is horrendous. We all had to park across the street by Sergio’s, hoping we wouldn’t get towed. The place is much smaller than what you see in photos. Tables are close together, that you can’t help but to hear other people’s conversations or rub against someone getting in & out of your table. Our waitress took 10 mins to come introduce herself. The coffees are delicious but they were more like a dessert. Again the waitress didn’t come back for another 15 mins & finally took our order. My sister had the American breakfast & my mom had the salmon toast. Which they said was decent but my eggs Benedict was very cold & lacked flavor for $19. We were never served water so we had to ask the waitress for some when she brought our food & she never came by to check on us or refill our cups of water or ask if we wanted another mimosa. Nor did she offer us dessert / or a menu. The place itself is decorated very cute & while I’m sure some of the desserts are very good… I think this place is OVERLY hyped like most places in Miami. Maybe for the IG pics, if that’s your thing. Parking was a mission, & it lacked customer service (18% is already included in the bill) which I have no problem giving if she was just more attentive & in the end my food wasn’t great. A tip should be earned not expected. Because then where’s the effort for good service ? Definitely not worth a $100 spent. So for that i probably won’t be returning nor...
