Sergio's Restaurant — Restaurant in Doral

From start to finish — HORRIBLE. The only redeeming factor about this location is that it has a drive-through.

I was genuinely excited to try the new specialty coffees being advertised — flavors like Maria Cookie Cold Foam, Cuban S’mores Cold Foam, Iced Honey Shaken Cordito, and more. Based on what I’d seen across social media, expectations were high. Unfortunately, my experience couldn’t have been more disappointing.

What I received was milk — with a dash of espresso. That’s right: a full cup of milk with barely any coffee flavor. Isn’t this a Cuban restaurant? Where is the Cuban espresso — the rich color, the bold flavor? The drink I was served looked nothing like the product photos. The moment I took a sip, it confirmed my suspicion: no coffee taste whatsoever. If you're familiar with Cuban coffee, you know it's supposed to be strong and flavorful. While I understand that these are specialty drinks with added flavorings, there should still be a noticeable presence of coffee. There wasn’t.

To make matters worse, the service was equally frustrating. The staff at the window did not speak English, and I do not speak Spanish. While I fully respect and understand the local demographic — especially in an area like Hialeah — a basic ability to assist customers in English should be expected in a drive-through setting.

Altogether, it was a complete failure of a morning. If I choose to return, I sincerely hope for a drastically improved experience — both in quality...

Worst service I’ve ever experienced at a restaurant. Wanted to enjoy a nice and relaxed meal for Mother’s Day with the family, but instead, had such bad service that ruined my experience. Angel, who was our server/waiter, was lost as a kite, did not bring us regular pancitos/bread for our table. When asked, he did not know anything about the bread, yet all the other tables receive the bread. When ordering our meals, we ordered entrees that Angel said included two sides, however, when the bill came, three of the meals were charged extra for the sides that he said were “included.” Additionally, the sides that were charged and served to the table were not even the sides that I initially ordered (steamed vegetables and were given roasted vegetables)! Not once did he say it was additional charge and when disputed, he was still lost like a kite to comprehend. We were also charged for an additional soda that I never received despite asking him numerous times that he forgot. He did not bring the kid’s menu for my son which was a minor thing but he also lacks the attention to refill our waters which needed to be asked for again. The only thing that was good was the food that tasted delicious and makes up for such poor service. However, with all the negativities, I would never come back to this location again due to such a poor taste left. I ordered drive thru, my lemons were rotting, came back walked in asked for fresh lemons, instead I got a ginormous mound of flesh named Frankie with a terrible attitude and a whole lemon...yes he was playing with it like you want this? Failed to introduce himself say hello or anything, he asked me if I had ordered my food there (off the bat they treat you as if there's something wrong with you not the lemons) yes, was my answer as I had told the hostess a min ago... why would he bring me a whole lemon??? I asked him if he wanted me to cut the lemon for myself. He got even more upset and threw the lemon to the side, it looked as if he was going to hit me. Mind you the whole time this very large man is standing within a foot away from me and judging by how pissed off he was it sure looked like he was going to get physical, I asked for the manager at that point and the manager who witnessed the entire thing chose to do nothing ( he doesn't give a f#@$ basically bad lemons ok bad Customer service also ok) this seems to be how they operate at Sergio's Doral where if you get rotting lemons you better not ask for fresh ones otherwise bouncer Frankie will come out to intimidate you rather than fix the screw up.
