We came in from out of state to a corn maze with a big group of friends and were looking for a place to accommodate us for dinner. The young lady who answered the phone was super nice and said of course they could! It was kismet that led us to this dinning establishment to eat and we are so glad it did!
All the staff was incredibly kind, positive and attentive. Half our group was young kids and the most curious one of all caught the chef's attention. (I assuming it was Mr. Dante himself!) He ended up showing our young curious kiddo how pizza is made and even brought out tiny bits of dough for all the kids to play with. It felt like we were apart of the family in an Italian kitchen on a Sunday evening. It was so heartwarming. The chef's son had come in to help with closing. (I hate being "that" group that stays past closing, but they never made us feel like we were.) We could hear him telling the staff on what things were and weren't called in Italy. So we got a nice lesson in that as well!
Now on the actual food, it was so delicious! The crust is thin, but light, airy and crunchy all the same time. Big foldable slices that fill you up so quickly! The sauce is bright and acidic and is a warm bed for toppings and cheese. We got the meat lovers and it definitely fulfilled that description. The meat is shaved thin but layered on thick. The cheese is savory with a great snap but gooeyness to it. You could tell they did not skimp on ingredients. Most of all you can feel the love and joy of feeding people baked right into that pie.
This place will be one we...
Read moreThere pizza normally taste very good, every once in a while it is way to hard to chew. My family has spent plenty of money there regular ,between my family of 5 and my brother's family of 5 plus he always gets for my mom and plenty of pizza parties we've had you'd think it's possible to maybe get a little respect that when a mistake is made "that you have no responsibility for" they would make it right without the rudeness. A few times I have been told a price paid that price up front only to be told I owe more, this last time.. for toppings because someone made a mistakes. It makes since You make it right with me as the customer (by...I don't know, letting it side on my end " not my fault" and then correcting your employee after me and my children leave) instead employee was got onto as if he was a moron and then they still wanted me to pay 22 for my pizza plus 16 extra dollars for supreme pizza toppings ( I already paid 28, just take the hit cause your a 3 star pizza joint in the mall, in Alabama)I could make 3 giant pizzas at home for that price ...I felt terrible for the young man trying to make it right. Since my card had already been run I said just make it a pepperoni and give me a large drink, guy making pizza said whatever that's fine ( of course it is you still made 8 bucks off me because of the uncomfortable way you make people feel), kid was like I still owe you a few dollars back and I said put it in your tip. ( maybe he got...
Read moreTried Dante's for the 1st time yesterday after hearing great things about it. I phoned in an order for an 18" supreme pizza. . Was very disappointed. First, the crust was almost half the pizza (and had no flavor). Second, the pizza had very little meat BUT a ton of veggies. I had to remove handfuls of green peppers and banana peppers, and some of the onions and black olives before we could begin eating. After doing this the pizza was just average tasting at best. Third, the price. $31.14. Way overpriced for this pizza. Save your money and go to Pizza Hut where a Supreme pizza is much better and a lot less money. I included pics after I had removed most of the veggies. Update 12/30/2021...I was willing to give this place a 2nd chance but after reading the owners reply and being misquoted and basically being called a liar I realized he does not care about his customers at all. If he can't handle the criticism then maybe he should prepare a better product. I will not be going back. Another thing, this place is smaller than Subway. The few tables are so close together you can reach out and touch the other diners. I guess he knew he wouldn't be having...
