If I could give 0 stars I would. The attitude and hospitality of the staff is horrendous. From the moment of check-in, Tasha was rude, belligerent & unprofessional. I was trying to ask questions regarding several other reservations I had booked for our organization, and received outrageous responses from her. Her lack of professionalism was disgraceful. Upon entering my room, there was a pungent, nauseating smell. The lamp shade was broken & the carpeting was damp. Due to the lack of help I received at the front desk, I chose to ignore these defaults because I did not need nor want any more aggravation. In the evening, I entered the lobby to find several families whom we traveled with for a sporting event being yelled at by Tasha and being called ‘white folk’. I asked her several times to refrain from speaking to any of us like that since the children in our party were all witnesses to this vile disrespect from her towards their parents. That part of the evening ended by the police arriving to de-escalate the situation. I thought the night was over. I was back in my room getting ready to relax, when a knock on my door from Shondel (the manager who was not there the entire day) quickly changed that. His exact words to me were (I have it on videotape), because you ‘broke the rules’ you need to vacate the premises along with everyone else that was in the lobby and you need to provide everyone’s else’s names. I questioned several times what rules I broke and what rules were there that were not being followed. Since he was not there to witness anything & was strictly going by hearsay, he could not answer those questions. I walked into a horrendous situation that Tasha had caused. Since my name is the one that reserved several rooms and she remembered me from earlier in the day, I was blamed. Our group travels all year long for lacrosse tournaments. (This weekend we had 46 rooms booked at the Wyndham Garden Inn). Never in the years that I have been doing this have ever had any problems or situations in any of the hotels we have stayed at. The Wyndham brand of hotels has definitely lost our...

Dirty Building in disrepair Little to no customer service $50 surprise security deposit Location isn't good
Worst hotel I have ever booked aside from a red room inn in WV. Charged us over $350 for a 2 night stay over the weekend while the parking lot was perpetually empty. Debris all over the hallway carpets, used napkin sitting on hallway water fountain (that doesn't work) for at least 3 days. Would not be surprised if it's been weeks since a vacuum has been turned on in this hotel. The breakfast area has dirty tables from days before. The trash wasn't even emptied between breakfast Saturday through Sunday, the same small cans were overflowing with plates from days ago. The lobby is made presentable, but move 5ft down the only hall and you will see the "business" lounge door broken off its hinges and blocking the doorway. Wall paper peeling off the walls here and there. Water stains all over the ceiling, cracks in the corners of the walls, and a broken down elevator. Our room toilet isn't even fastened to the floor properly and will move and make a "clunk" sound every time you sit or stand. You also have to jiggle the handle to get the water to stop flushing as the toilet tank will never fill unless you jiggle the handle.
Aside from the front desk attendant, only 2 workers even seen over the corse of 3 days. TV didn't work and the front desk attendant came up, asked when it broke, as if we did it, jiggle the wires and turned on the TV. Once he left we found out aside from channel and volume buttons,no other buttons worked at all. Have not had a single cleaner show up on our floor during our stay.
Surprise $50 security deposit not okay. Given the other reviews I have seen I will be sure to demand it back before I check out, lest I don't get it back at all.
Aside from road-side shops and normal restaurants, all attractions are 40+ mins away. Beach is...
Read moreI wish I could give 0 stars to this place. DO NOT STAY HERE! Again, DO NOT STAY HERE! My husband, dad, and I came into Delaware on short notice as my grandfather was passing away. We did not know when he would pass away, so we booked 3 days with them but ended up leaving early. This place checked us out and then proceeded to charge us for all 3 days' worth of stay. We asked at check out and confirmed that we would not get charged for the days we did not stay, and they confirmed that we would not get charged. During an extremely emotional time, getting screwed over by a hotel is the last thing you have on your mind! But the owners took full advantage!
On top of screwing us over, the hotel was EXTREMELY run down. The beds are super squeaky, the halls are dark and damp, the shower was very slippery and a fall risk! The table in our room had a broken leg, the carpet was loose and starting to fold over, elevators are sketchy, etc.
Additionally, do not trust their "breakfast" in the morning. If you enjoy the owners of the hotel bringing stale cereal, stale bagels and almost expired milk for their guest and then sitting at a table and watching your every move while you select your breakfast and eat your breakfast then stay here. We were so uncomfortable we went to the Panera next store.
Again, do not stay here! Stay ANYWHERE else. We did not believe the reviews, so please do not make this mistake that we did. The owners will screw you over. If you have to leave early, make sure you get your hotel cancelation and checkout in writing or a receipt. But I would just stay somewhere else if having to do it again.
P.S. do not believe the photos other than the outside photos and the photos of the attached Mexican...
