I ordered Chicken shahi Korma, and garlic naan. I was honestly not very happy with what I received. The garlic naan, was in fact not garlic naan but plain naan. I was surprised they did not even put ghee or cilantro on the naan ethier. It was large in size, served in halfs. Not bad but not what I expected. The shahi korma was a major disappointment. The dish itself was very watered down, so much so it would not stick to the fork. I didn’t see anything in dish (nuts/raisins) just some orange liquified watery broth and chicken. The chicken itself was almost rubbery not true tandor. To say flavor was lacking is an understatement. I asked for hot. It was hot but as if they added liquid chili and flakes in the dish instead of real chilis as well. Considering I paid a premium compared to my usual spot Im very disappointed. High expectations but honestly I Couldn’t even eat it. The rice was almost rubbery as well. I’m not sure if they are using a blender and microwave to make the the food but my dish at least tasted that way. For the same $32 I spent I could have gotten two of the same dish done the right way at my...
Read moreAmazing food in Dover. I used to eat at an Indian restaurant in Pensacola, the owner took pride in what he made. Moved to the Reno area and the food was just not as good, more options but the quality sucked. I was sketchy with this place at first. Honestly didn't expect much. Came for a Sunday brunch, not a ton of options but the quality that they lay out is well worth it. This was comparable to what i had in Pensacola. Very good ingredients, fresh, great service, everyone was smiling, the spices on the side were amazing. I get the yogurt as well as the hot sauce. Absolutely fantastic. When I leave the restaurant I have no need to eat for the day. It fills you up, which is a good sign the food isn't full of fillers. Get here on the dot on Sunday, it fills up extremely quick. Ask for the deserts after. I do not leave until after I get the fried cheese in a fresh syrup. Well worth it. Check it out,...
Read moreMy mom has Celiac and a few other tricky allergies (rice, soy, etc). After a week of sad but nutritious hospital meals for her and misc cafeteria finds for me, when my brother offered to bring Indian food yesterday we both jumped at the chance for flavor. The Daal was warm and filling for lunch and the Lamb Saag reheated beautifully for dinner. We loved it so much that we asked if they could deliver to the hospital today but when my brother called he learned that they don’t deliver.
Y’all.
THE OWNER HAND DELIVERED A MEAL TO MY MOM’S HOSPITAL ROOM.
Above and beyond doesn’t even begin to describe it. It wasn’t even “service” so much as it was the type of humanity and empathy that heals the soul. Truly this is food that will nourish body and mind in...
