Decided to go out for brunch because I’d heard people raving about the food. And I was severely disappointed. We got there and someone that seemed like the manager, sat us. And then he continued to sever us. I genuinely hope he wasn’t the manager, because that service was HORRENDOUS. We were there for about an hour. We saw our server 3 separate times. Once to take a drink order, another to take our food order. And then he disappeared for 30 minutes and then when he reappeared again, he had someone who very clearly needed more training, cashed us out. We asked for straws with our drinks, and instead of giving us wrapped straws, our server came up and placed the straws in the drink for us, practically dunking his fingers in our drinks. When he took our food order, he topped off my partners water with a pitcher, almost spilling it all over the table in the process. And the food was horrible. My biscuits and gravy was so salty, the ocean would’ve tasted better. My hashbrowns tasted like the fryer oil hasn’t been changed in a month. My partner ordered the steak frites bowl, fries in the side. And the bowl came with some weird mystery soup at the bottom. Was not worth the money I paid for it. You’re better off just eating...
Read moreToday I went to breakfast with my boyfriend and my friend. I am deathly allergic to peanuts and peanut butter. Whole ordering my meal and my boyfriend’s meal, I let the server know of my allergy and to please notify allergy on both of our meals. My boyfriend got a chocolate chip pancake for me. The server notified this allergy and a manager ran the food and said both of these meals are peanut safe. After eating some of my meal I cut into the pancake and notice a weird color. I had my boyfriend take a bite and it was peanut butter chips. I flagged down the manager that ran the food and let them know there’s peanut butter chips in my pancake. Although the manager and server both apologized and took my boyfriend’s meal off the bill with the pancake on it (not my meal which stayed on the bill) I am still upset over this. Having an allergy notified on a meal and being given the exact thing I’m deathly allergic to should never happen. The restaurant is lucky I noticed before taking a bite of the food or I would have gone into anaphylactic shock. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone with an allergy. I will not...
Read moreI never like to speak poorly of a locally owned, independent business that is a part of my community; however, the only reason I am voicing my concern is in hopes that someone at the establishment may catch it and become aware of some blind spots they may not know exist in their operation. I gave the Brunch Club a try earlier, about a few months after they opened, which wasn’t a great experience at the time. The table I sat at was wicked wobbly, the home fries that were a part of my breakfast were cold, and I left smelling like I had worked there, which I can only attribute to their open kitchen (which does look rather cool but the smells attach to your clothes). Not to mention what is provided. It's a little pricy. I gave them another try today, and unfortunately, about a year later, it was pretty much the same experience, except this time it was cold fries, and the panini I ordered just tasted weird, like the wrong combination of ingredients. On the upswing, both visits, the staff are super friendly, so I hope these opinions are taken in stride. I think I've tried enough times to know...
