Went with a friend for a leisurely breakfast on a recommendation and am so glad we went! It was my first time here - you know a place is great when there’s already a line waiting for the doors to open! Not gonna lie; you enter the building which has a bunch of offices and suites and think “how can this be the way in? There has to be another entrance…” so I walked around the building looking for another entrance. Nope, that’s the way in.
The doors opened at 9 and you enter what looks like it could be an office suite but when you continue walking you are greeted with the loveliest space that makes you feel like you are in a Parisian cafe (never been to France so it’s what this American envisions). Just look at the pictures to see what I mean.
The menu is very limited in terms of a sit-down breakfast so bypass the menu and instead look in the display cases for the freshly made items of the day, which change all the time. It will be hard to choose!
I ordered the quiche of the day which was zucchini and summer squash. The server warmed it up (nice touch!) and it was a custardy, creamy quiche in a lovely crust. It was accompanied by fresh greens with a vinaigrette. Ok, not really breakfast material given the 9 am time and more suited for brunch, but delicious nonetheless. And in keeping with the brunch mood, I ordered a lemon meringue tart slice ‘cause dessert should be had with every meal - can I get an Amen? I also ordered an iced mocha coffee which was probably unnecessary, but indulgent and delicious.
My friend ordered a jalapeño, chive and cheddar biscuit filled with ham and (I believe) Brie. Again, the server warmed it up so it was melty and oh so tasty (according to my friend). She ordered the maple lemonade and the maple flavor was very subtle but gave a depth to the lemonade you don’t find when just plain sugar is used. It wasn’t overly sweet as some lemonades can be, and you know it was made with real squeezed lemon juice.
We split the lemon meringue tart and it was terrific. The crust was buttery and fresh, the meringue perfectly browned, and the filling was a puckery lemon creme that wasn’t the typical bright yellow almost jello consistency goop you typically find. This filling was smooth, custardy, rich and not too sweet as most lemon desserts can be.
My friend and I were able to snag a table on the deck overlooking the river and the ambience was delightful. Ducks swam by while we enjoyed our selections and the deck was peaceful and perfect for chatting and catching up.
Servers will bring you your food but you are responsible for cleaning up by putting your used glasses , utensils and plates in a bucket by the door. That didn’t bother me at all, and it allows the cafe to not need to hire bussers. Upon leaving I took a peek in the bakery snd kitchen areas and complimented the staff on a lovely time.
This is only my 2nd Google review ever written, but my experience there was so terrific I felt compelled to submit a review. I highly recommend Two Bees Cafe and Patisserie and look forward to...

Read moreNo wonder this place has such good reviews. We stopped on our way by after finding on Google for coffee and a snack. The pastries were amazing! We were late in the day so we got a salted chocolate chip cookie (not pictured), a blood orange and raspberry danish, and a chocolate croissant. It was all so delicious and high quality. The chocolate chip cookie was genuinely one of the best I’ve ever had if not the best. The orange and raspberry danish was fantastic and not overpowering. The chocolate croissant was flaky, buttery, and my husband’s favorite. My review can’t do these pastries justice. While we don’t live near by, we will...
