Giordano's — Restaurant in Downers Grove

We live a few minutes away from this location and decided to order carry out to save a little money. I chose the cut into slices option, considering we literally live 3 min away, and it was absolutely disgusting. My husband still ended up eating some it because he was starving from working a 14 hour day but had he not been so desperate to eat I would’ve asked for a complete refund. Not to mention, I used my birthday coupon (on a pizza that was soggy, cold, and sloppily made) that has now been wasted. Usually we choose the do not cut option when ordering delivery knowing that soggy-ness can happen but at home when we cut it ourselves it does NOT get soggy like that…so it was definitely sitting there getting soggy and cold. We even arrived at the earliest time frame that was stated in the email. On top of all that, I asked for the garlic to go inside the cheese instead of on top and they neglected to see that special request. That actually happens almost EVERY time we order, regardless if it’s delivery or carry out. Extremely dissatisfied and will not be returning unless something is corrected. It’s absolutely ridiculous what you charge for such low quality. Pay attention to the order, correct your faults, and notify your customers if the pizza is done earlier than stated in email, especially if the cut into slices...

We went to this location with a group of 12 special needs adults. Since we were aware that this might be difficult for the restaurant we called ahead and let them know we would be coming. We arrived at 11:00 am when the place opened and to make things easier we had written down what each person wanted ahead of time. We had to be done with lunch by 1:00 to catch a train back to Aurora. At 12:30 we talked to the manager as three of our group still did not have their food. We were given an excuse that the printer was not working so they lost those orders. They said they would get them out right away. At 12:55 they brought out the food in boxes for the customers to eat on the train. I am sorry the waiter should have noticed way before 12:30 that three of his guests did not have food in front of them. He also took over ten minutes to bring drink refills. The manager gave us a measly discount for the inconvenience. I also found the food to be mediocre. Sandwiches were served without additional sauce, the french fries were cold and tasteless. I will never return to this restaurant and I find their service to be grossly inadequate and an embarrassment to our clients who i might add were extremely well behaved. Preordered a pizza for delivery on Valentine’s Day the morning of to be delivered at 7 pm that night. Never showed up. Had to call and at first they told me it hadn’t gone out yet even though it was 7:45. I spoke to a manager who had the audacity to tell me that I ordered it for take out and they couldn’t comp me because it was my fault. I had the email right in front of me saying it was for delivery and I had a delivery charge on my card. They delivered me the pizza at 9:30 with no apologies or refund and the receipt said DELIVERY scheduled at 7 pm online order and another receipt saying “takeout” at 7:37 pm which is when I called. So the manager had changed it in the system after I talked to him! Who does that it is so bazaar! I still have both receipts. It’s one thing it was so late but to make the costumer feel like it’s their fault and have no remorse whatsoever is ridiculous. Manager there does not take responsibility and is seriously shady.
