I wanna start with the hostess at this restaurant. My son and I we were super excited to dine in for lunch after a long day of work and school. We arrived at the restaurant and we were not greeted by the hostess because she was too busy on her phone. I asked for a table and she pointed to a table at the bar since it is self seat. I told her no since i was with my son i wanted to seat in the restaurant. The restaurant was not busy, so she told me it was going to be a 10-20 min, no problem waiting. I asked to see the menu meanwhile waiting and she pointed at the menus, she couldn’t even hand it to me. 2-3 min later she sat us down which I thought it was going to be a 20 min wait. She took us to our table, set the roll ups down in the table and left. She didn’t say a word to us nor took menus to our table. I flagged a server and asked her if the menus were digital and she said no that they were suppose to be provided by the hostess. the manager came to our table and I explained to her what happened which she did not apologized. she just said she was going to talk to her and walked away. Our server was really nice, but our pizza took FOREVER!!!! I asked for a Buffalo chicken pizza to share, no sauce on it and when it came out they had made it wrong. Our server said she was going to leave it incase we wanted to nibble on it. Well they did not happened since she dropped the pizza that was made wrong. At this point we had our appetizers at our table (boneless wings) super salty which were suppose to be lemon pepper. Did not taste any lemon just salt. We placed our order around 2:15pm for appetizers and entree (pizza) and we didn’t received the entree until 3:30pm. Waited over an hour for a simple small pizza. We had 1 slice and packed it all up since it was late. I asked for the check and noticed no type of compensation for the hostess rudeness nor the cooks mistakes. I was like wow! I was at least expecting the manager to come over and say “sorry for our mistake May I offer you anything else while waiting” this place does not know how to apologize nor take care of their customers. I will never be back at BJs! Besides all this they can’t keep up with the cleanliness of their restrooms nor pick up dirty dishes....
Read moreCame in for happy hour. I remember food and drinks at regular price being much more pleasant than what I had tonight. I guess the saying you get what you pay for can be true sometimes since everything looked and tasted lackluster and seemed to be just thrown together without any care. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't good at all and I certainly don't feel like I'll ever be back. I get it its happy hour , its cheap and quick but its still bad practice to make everything look and taste so careless and bland. Lazy dog does better, yard house does better. This is by far one of the least enjoyable happy hours ive ever had. It was inexpensive so no harm no foul but I at least hope they rethink their happy hour experience even if they up the prices a bit. Theres no point in having something cheap if its going to taste so below the standards of everything else served there.
Overview of what I ordered:
Margarita ;made very basic, no salt on the rim or anything other than a lemon slice and some cheap tasting lemonade and tequila (understandable for being 5$ but when its this lack luster you're better off raising the price to allow for better options. It simply doesnt align with the quality of most mixed drinks served there.) The deep dish pizza; Was cut in odd proportions and seemed to be done witht the least amount of effort as possible with toppings slapped all onto oneside and it was cold and didnt taste good in general. Spinach artichoke ; Was one of the better dishes , just slightly too watery but it was still mostly enjoyable. Mozz sticks; A decent dish which you really cant go wrong with. Sliders: Bland, no cheese, very little old iceberg lettuce on the side and just generally unappetizing. Avocado eggroll: Not many complaints for this one either. It was a fine dish.
Not everything was terrible but overall the experience was dissapointing. I hope this...
Read moreMy husband and I understand and have worked in customer service so we never mind the wait times. The first time my husband, son and I came here we only got water for our table and I never got my Pepsi. We had to ask twice to get utensils and had to feed our son mashed potatoes with our finger until we got them. Our spinache artichoke dip was burnt so we had to ask for another one. We both ordered bread bowls except I received the cup and they still charged us for the pepsi and two bread bowls. The second time we went was absolutely horrible. It was Valentine's Day but doesn't excuse this server's actions (janeth, janith not sure what her name was exactly). Obviously we didn't mind the wait as it was a busy day. We sat down, ordered everything the first time she came around. Water, Pepsi, mashed potatoes, and two bread bowls. Mashed potatoes came first along with the little kid plate. Second time she came back and asked if we needed anything. I asked "can we get our drinks?" And she gave me a dirty look. She completely ignored our table or at least i thought it was our table until she happily talked to my husband when he asked for to go boxes and got them right away. Right before this I did notice the manager pull her aside. After this we packed our stuff, I went to change my son and my husband went to pay up front. When i came out he said they told him to go through our server but we didn't trust going through her with our bill. We went back up and I told them how she was ignoring me but would only talk to my husband and we never got our drinks. My husband said they kind of rolled their eyes when we mentioned who our server was as it seemed she had already caused some issues prior to us. Thankfully we were able to pay with the manager who was very kind to us and leave without any...
