We stayed at this hotel from January 8-11. My youngest had fallen ill on our trip, and we knew that check in was at 4pm. Pulled up to the hotel, and went in to the lobby around 12:30pm. Initial impression of the hotel, looked nice from the outside. Lobby area was really large and clean. Opened into the bar area with pool tables, etc. I inquired if there was any way we could check in sooner than 4pm because my son was sick. She checked, had a room available and got us taken care of. Very pleased, and Great Service! The tower is where we stayed, on the 5th floor. The rooms are accessible by an open air atrium at the center of the tower. The elevators are SKETCHY!! Rickety, noisy, doors didn’t operate fully (didn’t open all the way). Felt like bearings were shot or something. One out of the three was semi-ok, the other two need some serious attention. One of the two call buttons on the 5th floor to go down, didn’t work. Rooms weren’t horrible, but could use some love. Beds were ok, linens were better than average. A/C worked well, as did the heat (was in the 40’s during our stay). Our room faced the highway, and it was mostly quiet aside from the occasional Harley, or modified exhaust on a car / truck flying by. Plenty of hot water, with pretty good water pressure. Shower head isn’t ideally placed for taller folks, so I had to hunch down to wash my head and rinse (6’4”) TV had the equivalent of basic cable, with no guide or hotel home page. Mini fridge, microwave, table with two chairs, and a desk area with chair off to the side of the TV area. My overall impression of the room is the hotel put in composite flooring, freshened up the linens and artwork in order to dress up an other wise dated room.
Trying to order in room dining from their restaurant/cafe was a disaster. Repeated calls to the cafe and front desk with no answers was pretty disconcerting. Finally got someone to pickup, and they seemed very bothered that I was calling. Explained I was trying to order dinner, and couldn’t get anyone to answer the phone. She asked me what I was trying to order and she would go see what the problem was. She called me back less than 10 minutes later, and said that the kitchen wasn’t providing in room dining. And they wouldn’t make an order until it was paid for. I asked why the order couldn’t be placed and billed to the room, and she said they didn’t do that. So now aggravated, I go over to the building to place an order as it’s after 8pm at this point. Place the order, pay for it and wait. Mind you the cafe was a ghost town, and two employees working - not sure why they couldn’t have answered the phone. They call our number, grab the bags and start to get cutlery and condiments napkins etc. The woman cooking said hold on, and proceeded to make the rice and beans for two of our entrees (microwaved) because she had forgotten them. She apologizes and bags them up, and now I check all of the bags - and they didn’t make one of the 4 entrees. So now we had to wait more for them to finish the order. She was very apologetic and offered my son a soda out of the cooler at no charge - nice gesture - but overall a frustrating experience. At least the food was good. Next day we tried the front desk for a separate question, no answer after multiple tries. We gave up after that. Pool was great, grounds were pretty nice. Hotel got very noisy as Friday came, and there was practically NO Security enforcing rules, noise policies, smoking policies. Seemed like people just did what they wanted- hotel didn’t care. Plenty of well lit parking. Upon checkout, gentleman at the counter was very nice and checkout was easy and smooth. Apologies for long read. I will not book with this...
Read moreI stayed at this hotel for 15 days with my mother in law who is 80. The check in staff when we arrived at the hotel was wonderful and very friendly. We was put in the tower. The room itself was very big and spacious and at first glance looked very clean. The first morning I woke up tight chest and both our beds seemed damp but put it down to being the air conditioning. We was having few trouble with our toilet but managed to work it out. Every night we come back my mother in law said her bed felt like it was damp and as did mine but again didn’t really think too much. I then notice above the bed I was sleeping in and above my mother in law bed that there was alot of black mildew about over bed and looking further there was water marks all down the walls. 4th night we had to call for maintenance as our toilet was not flushing and fair okay they drives promptly. They fixed my toilet and I showed then the mildew they tried their best to clean with bleach but as a severe asthmatic I knew we couldn’t stay in that room any longer. We was both exhausted from a day at the parks so stayed that night next morning I went down to reception and showed them the picture of the room. They offered to change our room. The next room they gave me was 2 doors down from my old room but was also damp so again they changed the room to a room next door to my original room and this room ask was the same .i went down to complain and after a long time was moved fork the tower to the block 2. The rooms was half the size of the tower ones but was clean. Small fresh and no sign of damp or mildew. Everything seemed to be ok but after arriving back to our room to find a lizard had got into our room I noticed that there was massive gap under our front door to our rooms there was maintenance going on in that block sometimes at 7.30-8 at night. I tried to find the lizard as it run off under the units. I reside me to th fact that we would be sharing our room with this lizard for the rest of our holiday. I’d rather that than a spider. So Saturday evening myself and mother in law got back to our room both exhausted. We both shower and I go to by front door and surely feel pain in my foot. There was loads of sheds of wood on the floor and I had stepped on it and got 3 splinters in the bottom of my foot. I managed to get the 2 out but the 3rd I could not get out so went to bed hoping it would come out I was awake all night in alot of pain and eventually sat in a hot bath tit they draw it out. With a lot of scraping and stuff in shard to get the splinter out of my foot. I used a towel to try sweep all the wood bits and stuff out of the way. Monday night I was walking around and then in the they foot had another splinter luckily I was able to get it out. I am now home and I am still having pain in my one foot after not being able to get that 3rd splinter out. The hotel itself is as lovely the pool area beautiful and very clean always plants clean towels. The inside reception was lovely and seeing the Christmas trees and decorations going up was lovely. Staff was lovely (mostly). I was dissatisfied with the shuttles as there was not hardly any going from hotel 3 in morning and 3 to get back no shuttles to Disney parks or sea world and Busch gardens even though it does say in their description that there was free shuttle to theme parks doesn’t say only universal parks. The size of the rooms is as amazing in the tower and had it not been damp and mildew in the rooms would have been lovely to stay in for the entire trip. The location of the hotel is ideal. Close to all shops and restaurants and also close...
Read moreWhen we first arrived, we were shocked by the state of the hallways—trash was scattered everywhere, and housekeepers walked past it without a second glance. The elevators were rundown, dirty, and smelled bad. The support rails inside were broken and loose, which just added to how the building was maintained.
We booked the cheapest room, which I regret now, but based on the building’s overall upkeep, I doubt the more expensive rooms are any better. Our bathroom light was flickering constantly, so we had to switch rooms, only to end up on the same filthy floor. The beds were bare-bones, with just two sheets sandwiching a thin brown blanket, which clearly wasn’t washed between stays; I found someone else’s hair when I pulled back the covers. Disgusted, I tried removing the blanket, but without it, we were left with just a single sheet in a freezing room. Even after adjusting the AC from the default 67 degrees to 74, it stayed unbearably cold.
The room itself was outdated, with rusty appliances, a clogged shower drain, and peeling paint. But here’s the worst part: No one at check-in mentioned that housekeeping was by request only. After our room wasn’t cleaned on the first night, we assumed they would clean every other day for longer stays. After the second night with no cleaning, I called the front desk and was told for the first time that housekeeping needed to be requested. I put in a request immediately for the following morning. The next morning, I called to confirm, and they said the request had never been logged. All they could offer was to bring more towels. I explained we had been waiting three days for a clean room: our beds were dirty on arrival, the trash was overflowing, and we were out of soap and shampoo. They assured me they’d take care of it.
When we returned later, nothing had been cleaned. They left towels and soap on the unmade bed, and instead of taking out the trash, they left us a trash bag to manage it ourselves. We now had to replace the trash bag and keep our trash in the room, waiting for them to “decide” to clean it.
The poor state of this hotel isn’t just disappointing; it’s outright false advertising. The description on their website and booking platforms completely misrepresents the reality of this place. Guests are led to believe they’re booking a comfortable, clean stay with professional service, which couldn’t be further from the truth. This lack of transparency borders on deceptive practices, and the owners should be held accountable for misrepresenting the quality of their hotel. Given the extent of these issues, this feels like more than just poor management; it’s a matter of failing to provide the promised standard of cleanliness and service. We paid for this hotel that has a service that was never delivered, and this raises serious questions about their business ethics.
The owners should be held liable for this blatant disregard of guest expectations and failure to provide the basic standards required for any hotel. No guest should have to deal with unsanitary conditions, misleading descriptions, and a complete lack of responsibility...
