Ginther's Swirls Ice Cream — Restaurant in Dr. Phillips

We're in Orlando for a professional conference and just experienced horrendous customer service at Ginther's Swirls Ice Cream. Please do not patronize this establishment! On Monday, Feb.12th, five cars were sitting in the drive-thru waiting for service. We called the establishment, letting them know of the backlog, and they made a statement that the customer's car did not register in their headset and they "just need to pull up to the window." However, no one came out to tell the customer waiting in the drive-thru. We kindly told them the truck was waiting at the speaker; therefore, all they had to do was take their order... and they still did not take the customer's order. Five minutes later, we noticed a worker peek out the drive-thru window, AND they still did not access the speaker to take the customer's order "at all." We eventually got out of line and left. My husband said the same service happened to him earlier today, and he still didn't get any ice cream. He even went to the drive-thru window to place his order, and no one came to provide service. SO... don't waste your time and money with...

I typed in "Twistee Treat" to find the nearest one going home and accidentally came here. I just saw it was the shortest time frame added onto my drive and just went. I was sceptical about the place because I'm soooo used to the giant ice cream cone shaped building. I rolled the dice and said the heck with it. It's 102 outside and I just got off work. I received my order from the sweetest sounding voice and the most adorable little girl!!! I bought a strawberry soft serve and a chocolate shake... Oh my goodness this was the best soft serve I've had in such a very long time. I absolutely love ice cream (even though it doesn't agree with me) and it was perfect! The ice cream wasn't overly sweet and it didn't look like Thor from Endgame either! The chocolate shake was a bit too sweet for my liking, but it had the same texture and feel as the soft serve well balanced just needed to lay off the extra sweetness. A little disappointed with this trip to Swirls...

Everytime that we visit Orlando and stay nearby; we always make it a point to stop at Swirls multiple times during our week long visits.(usually 3-to -4 plus times)as they usually have a wide variety of flavors and some of the best ice cream ever.

However; on this trip ... NOT so much.

We stopped by on our first night in town; expecting to enjoy the ice cream that we usually tell everybody that comes the Orlando area that we know; to make sure that they stop and try.

On this trip the flavors were very very limited when we ask about other options you would think we were from another planet and it was fairly disappointing of choices of ice cream; both hard scoop and soft serve; we ended up getting something we weren't really anxious to try and needless to say... we will not be returning.
