I used to love this McDonald's location until recently when some of the Managers and Staff began attacking impoverished people who would go there as paying Customers for temporary solace for a bit. I've seen them as regulars, spending what little finance they have everyday, while some of the Managers would call local Police on them for being exhausted from their impoverished condition and more than likely not having many places to go. I watched recently as a Manager called local Police for an impoverished person dozing off in the Restaurant. They behaved as if falling asleep from exhaustion from extreme lack of sleep is a crime. Medical studies have historically shown that lack of sleep leads to serious health problems and it is no mystery that impoverished people suffer from extreme lack of sleep. With the City of Orlando Council constantly attacking people forced to the streets from corporate greed on all levels of society, it's a wonder why impoverished people have not been able to have safe places to sleep at night. As a multi-billion dollar corporation, McDonald's employees and Staff should be far better trained than to attack impoverished people through State, City, and County negligence that causes people to go broke, as they cannot afford the extremely high cost of living by corporations constantly building more expensive societies against the will of the public. No one in their right minds would approve of making infrastructure so expensive that the average person cannot afford it, while those who can by corporate fraud and greed, can afford it until something goes wrong in their lives. The modern-day rich people keep believing they will always be rich thus they step on the less fortunate. Furthermore, it is currently being investigated that the Staff for this location may blatantly be turning off the WI-FI for this location, so as to attack those who really use and need it. McDonald's is a multi-billion dollar corporation and can afford the best WI-FI in the world and make sure their Customers can access it anytime. It would be a travesty if General Managers for Restaurants resorted to such pettiness, but then again, the State of Florida and City of Orlando administrator persons have been known to be petty. Well consequently, I was forced to report the matter and opened a Case that has yet to be resolved. Case# 32398969 is awaiting remedy for a long-time, loyal Customer, who is simply tired of...
Read moreNo cashiers/order takers; you must use their self-service kiosk which they have several of. You take a number sign to your table and staff will deliver your order to your table; however, this wasn't the case for us. The employee came from around the counter and yelled our number while she stood in the nearly empty lobby. We were seated less than 6 feet away from her and in her line-of-sight. We raised our hand and said, "that's us". She saw us, but made no attempt to deliver the food. I don't mind getting up and getting the food from her despite the kiosk saying it would be delivered to our table, but, I'm feeling a little like an unpaid employee at this point...we placed the order ourselves as well as served ourselves the food despite paying the same amount for the food that a full-service McDonald's charges. Several people in-store and in drive thru returned food due to being cold, old or not made correctly. This included us...at 1:00 in the afternoon the nuggets were cold, chewy and seemed old. I would think this wouldn't be the case given 1:00 p.m. is during the lunch rush. Fries were cold presumably because they were sitting on the tray well before the rest of the food was ready. Double cheeseburger was made correctly (no mustard or pickles), but bun was not warm/dry and cheese was cold/not melted. 4 managers were in the kitchen (button-up shirts with ties) along with 6 employees yet there was a lot of standing around doing nothing and operating with a shuffle-paced, leisurely-stroll walk. I worked at McDonald's and Burger King as a teenager and was always told, "If you got time to lean, you've got time to clean", and that was during slow/dead times, not lunch rush. I will say that the manager I returned my double cheeseburger and fries to (we ended up just eating our stale nuggets because we were told it was going to be 5-10 minutes for fresh ones) was nice and when I told her she could just microwave my burger she insisted on...
Read moreI have patronized this location on several occasions due to the quality of their food; however, after my experience with their condescending manger, Freedy, I will no longer visit this location. After providing the cashier with my receipt and survey code to obtain a "buy one get one any sandwich" the manager, Freedy comes to the window and tells me I cannot use it at this location. I must use it at the McDonald's store I received the receipt. I told him I wasn't aware of this and proceeded to leave the drive thru. I have completed surveys in the past and used the code at another McDonald's location with no issue. I was never told it was invalid until today.
Since I made a purchase at that location earlier, I still had my receipt. I completed the survey for their location, wrote my code on the receipt, and placed my order again. The manager was at the window displaying a vile demeanor and condescending attitude. After I provided the receipt, he looks at like it's fraudulent. The address for their store #6660, was clearly visible on the receipt. He then asks me to provide my phone as proof that I completed the survey. After he views my phone I can hear him tell the cashier, "just give it to her, just give it to her" as if I was begging him for free food.
When did McDonald's adopt the policy for customers to provide staff with their phone? Asking me to show my phone as if I'm a liar, criminal, or someone attempting to scam for food is beyond disrespectful and out of line. He had absolutely no right to ask for nor touch my phone. I only have to provide the receipt containing the code not my phone which is an invasion of my privacy.
This manager's behavior is very off-putting and offensive. It reflects poorly on your corporation. Please provide your unskilled worker with the appropriate tools on how to properly interact with customers. With his lack of maturity and decorum he will always have a "job" and...
