Our first trip to FreshFin blew us away -- we are instant fans and will definitely be back soon and often. We ordered online for pick-up and the food was ready when we arrived less than 10 minutes later. The ambiance was so nice and bright that we decided to dine-in. We shared two different regular sized bowls: 1) Spicy Tuna with White Rice and 2) Mango Tango with Brown Rice and Ahi Tuna (we were hoping for Salmon, but they must have been out). We devoured our meal so fast that we forgot to take a photo, but both bowls were fresh and delicious. My original impression was the portion size was a bit small, but we definitely got enough food and the ingredients were so high quality and light that we felt great after. My only complaint was the amount of fresh fish in each bowl was less than I had expected, but each bite was an explosion of flavor regardless of whether or not it included fish. Our teenage daughter came with us even though she wasn't hungry and didn't think the food looked appetizing, so she initially turned down our offer to try the food. But we insisted and she was shocked how much she loved the flavor and quality of both bowls. We didn't order drinks, but we were glad to see they have fountain soda (including Diet Coke and Diet Dr. Pepper...though I wish they had Coke Zero Sugar) with free refills, which isn't always the case at poke restaurants. We commented several times to each other that we really hope this restaurant gains a loyal following and can succeed for a...
Read moreI have had one dining experience at Freshfin and it has made me realize one thing in particular: I'm angry at myself for only having one dining experience as Freshfin.
I walked in to a clean and open space. There were other diners, but also plenty of seating. It took my wife and I a few minutes to go through the menu. I'd love to try building my own someday, but I wasn't ready my first time.
I admit, I cheated and looked at pictures of the menu online - I knew what I was going to order - then pulled a complete 180. I regret nothing.
The fish tasted clean and fresh. The crab - I'd never had truffle crab before(!) - was succulent and provided a beautiful umami. I based the dish on white rice - warm and sticky enough to be manipulated with chopsticks, but fine enough to allow the additional flavors an ingress onto my anxiously waiting taste buds.
The sauce, I wish I could describe more accurately, was well-made and I can tell custom created for your poké bowl. It wasn't a cheap fry sauce concoction thrown on another dish.
The wait time at our table wasn't short, but there were (I think) three DoorDash-type drivers in front of us. Still, I wouldn't describe the time spent at an empty table as inconvenient.
I will absolutely patron Freshfin Poké again, and I will probably use it with my friends and family as a new and exciting dining experience... Ya know, to impress them with my...
Read moreIf you're seeking a fantastic poke restaurant, FreshFin might not be the ideal choice. Not because the food lacks deliciousness—quite the contrary. However, it deviates from the conventional poke restaurant format. FreshFin offers a delightful dining experience featuring a charming dining room adorned with a vibrant and lively design, accompanied by welcoming staff ready to take your order. The menu, though compact, is meticulously crafted, brimming with flavors to cater to every member of the family. You can opt for one of their signature bowls or create your own masterpiece by first selecting your preferred size and protein. Then, you'll choose from a variety of bases such as sushi rice, shredded kale, brown rice, mixed greens, lemon-herbed quinoa, or purple cabbage. Following that, you'll pick a sauce, add-ins, and finally, toppings. The fare is refreshingly light, incredibly fresh, and the possibilities are endless. During our visit, we indulged in the large Firecracker Chicken bowl and the regular Curry Coconut Chicken bowl, both of which were immensely satisfying. Bursting with flavor, offering just the right amount of spice, and surprisingly filling, they left us...
