Las Glorias has almost the identical menu as La Puente, La Frontera, and La Fountain. They all offer what I call raw home style Mexican food. Nothing fancy, just quick and filling. I like that sometimes.
The difference between all of these places is decor, atmosphere, service, and in the case of La Fountain, quality of food. (La Fountain is awful. There appears to be no meat at all in their Mexican meat filling.)
La Puente has the better decor and atmosphere in my opinion and they offer a Senior discount. La Frontera is the most stark and cold. When ordering the combination plates, all will put the taco and tostada on a separate plate if requested, which is nice because it keeps them from getting soggy from the chili verde sauce.
My only complaint against Las Glorias, and they have been doing this for years, is that no matter what coupon I bring in; $7 off, $5 off, etc., they always cheat me. They will routinely only discount my ticket $4. If they are going to offer a coupon discount they should honor the amount offered. (If you are reading this Las Glorias; you offer the coupon to bring me in, I enjoy my meal, and the last thing you do before I leave is cheat me on my ticket! How do you think that makes me feel about you?)
As far as I know, of the others, La Fountain is the only other one to offer coupon discounts, but the food is so bad that I won't go there. Oh, and La Puenta will short you on their Senior discount. What is it with these guys? Sure, most people never look at their ticket, but is there no honesty or integrity? Do you guys feel good treating your...
Read moreAmazing authentic Mexican Food. I grew up in Southwest Texas and this is the first place is Utah I have been able to find food that tasted like home! Of course on the night I went I didn't take my phone with me. I will be going again and I will update my post with pics the next time I go. The waitress was so nice and her recommendations were spot on. I had the shredded beef chimichanga and it tasted just like the ones my best friends mom would make for me when I was in high school. The tortilla was homemade and the salsa was a roasted salsa and so good. I can't believe I have lived in Draper so long and never have known about this place and the amazing food they serve! This is a hidden gem for sure!! I am so glad that we decided to try something new the night we did. I am truly amazed because we walked in on a Wednesday 20 minutes before they close and I even told my husband we are probably going to be served old food because they are closing. That was not the case at all, the food was fresh and so amazing. The workers didn't even say a word about us arriving so close to closing when we walked in so late. We were greeted appropriately and they had us seated pretty fast and our food came rather quickly. This is a Must try, you will not be...
Read moreLas Gloria's Mexican restaurant in Draper does not care about their customers.
Before the COVID-19 lockdown we ordered through DoorDash. Our order was incorrect when it arrived. I called the restaurant directly knowing that these delivery services 1. Have no accountability and 2. Don't have good customer service.
When I called I spoke to a woman to let her know that DoorDash delivered the wrong order. The woman I spoke to at Las Gloria's apologized and said that the drivers of that service place the orders. The driver must have made the mistake. But, she said, to make it up to us a free chimichanga would be available to us on our next order. It would be under my phone number - which I provided to the woman.
So tonight, April 26, 2020 we called to place an order and we were told that the restaurant would not honor the replacement because they only offer that for 2 weeks. I was never told there was an expiration date.
Also the manager REFUSED to talk to me directly. He was a coward and had the poor girl answering the phone to relay the message. For a simple chimichanga.
Needless to say, we didn't order. We chose a restaurant that appreciates...
